The Admiral Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Great day out - thanks to JohnS for another well organised track day [H] Streaming video: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...639605775736982 Download: Right Click & Save As 202MB As you will hear on the vid, my AYC is squaking on right handers, and at the end, the gasket between the manifold and turbo went [:'(] But apart from that it was a good day out [H] Cheers Rog

RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 heres a few of mine, been a bit busy today so havent had the time till now [] this Evo was going like the clappers till it went pop Peter chasing the porker after successfully navigating the hair pin for a change Steve gives me the V for victory sign! (i doubt it ment that as well but hey ho lol) [] and steve again in what is fast becomming his second home, poor soul looks all lost and lonely out there by himself [] above picture courtesy of Dez []
scoobyiain Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 2nd last pic is quality. steve giving the v for victory lol
RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 2nd last pic is quality. steve giving the v for victory lol aye but i dont actually think it ment V for victory, F**k off with that camera is probably closer to the mark lol []
4Hero Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 nice pics mate, I thought you didn't have your memory card with you?
RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 i did i just didnt have it installed properly, was ferking devestated when i found out i didnt capture steves off on camera, thought i got about 20 odd shots of the whole thing []
RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 your and johns photos are alot clearer than mine, how come mine dont come out like that then? [:S]
4Hero Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 you need to stick the dial to TV Mode mate, your's were all shot in AV after checking the exif data. This would be the major factor in them being not quite so crisp. Your shutter speed on the one I checked was 1/100, I use a minimum of 1/125 but everything else on the exif looked ok. The rest is just a matter of trial and error (oh, and an L lens) []
craig_harey Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 nice pics mate, I thought you didn't have your memory card with you? That was me Neil camera but card in laptop [:'(]
RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 dammit! couldent remember if you said to put it on TV or AV mode so just took a guess, bloody well knew i should have written it down lol [:|] have just made the changes to the camers so its good to go next time i use it []

reidzer44 Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 a few from me .. thanks steve for that blast round knockhill i was well impressed , []
micra_wrc Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 great looking RA there, very clean. thanks Adam. Hope you and Fee get the Skyline fixed ok. The RA handled her first track day very well. The 16" wheels, droplinks and brake pads made the car feel really planted around the corners and I didnt get any understeer or wiggles coming out of corners at all. question........ is it normal that the Mintex 1155 brake pads that were fitted last week come back into the pits smoking after Squirrel's taken the car on track and be told "thats ok dear, smoking pads means that they are bedded in properly".... [8-)] [] []
Adam Kindness Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 yeah, it is ok/normal for new pads to get a bit smokey during bedding in. Fee doesnt quite get it though and moans about me braking so severely :/ Prob a good job that it was just her there... i would have kept the car out as the probs dont seem to be too serious, but no doubt i wouldnt have helped
Adam Kindness Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Fee has re-edited the video... a lot better quality now http://trackscotland.co.uk/vid/knockhillclip1.avi You can see she is taking it very easy. Its all nice and clean, no moments etc Car looks very very stable
thewelsho Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Great pics everyone, looking forward to seeing the others. I have no Internet at home at all so I had to wait all weekend to get to work to see and read posts! Hurry up BT!!!!! I took my camera with me and forgot a memory card, A55! I didn't realise just how big of an a55 I was until I got home and spotted a mem card in the cup holder in the centre console ARGH!

st3ph3n Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Great pictures. Only one of me though! No one got any more?
RA Dunk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 ive got a couple but there not the best of pics, a bit blurry to say the least []
st3ph3n Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Fire them on anyway mate. Can't be worse than me with my mouth open. I was concentrating apparently. I wish my bloody video camera had worked as I'd have caught Steve spitting a HUGE flame the whole way from the braking point until he got back on the power mid-corner at duffus. Also one of the bruce taxis evos going straight on after getting the chicane very wrong indeed.
kennyi Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Fee has re-edited the video... a lot better quality now http://trackscotland.co.uk/vid/knockhillclip1.aviYou can see she is taking it very easy. Its all nice and clean, no moments etc Car looks very very stable [Y] Good clip, that was my silver Exige in front. Sorry about the dust cloud at Clarks, I had found a new line through the gravel [:$]
micra_wrc Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Fire them on anyway mate. Can't be worse than me with my mouth open. I was concentrating apparently.... i think that picture is good - it captures the concentration that you need when on track []
