It was more than apparent kids, parents and Aberlour staff loved it. [] Well done also to Santa - I think he was enjoying himself more than the kids [] Finally, thanks to Scott for sorting out breakfast []

karps Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 twas a good morning. Im glad i made it up to give some added support to the fantastic effort the central region made for those kids. Quote of the day from a parent was "my son loves Subaru's, but its the Impreza he likes" [*-)][*-)]
rallye6 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 First class morning, The children's faces said it all. This is probably the best car club in Britain " as they say in the carlsberg advert." A privilege to be a member. Brian[H]
david_taylor Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Really sad that I could not make this today. Got the drain cleared right enough, so no more flooding hopefully. Glad to hear it went well and the kids are all happy. Just realsied the place is just 2 mins from me! Dave
micra_wrc Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 well done everyone. the pics look good, plenty of smiles and happy faces. its a worthwhile cause and pleased that you managed to pull this off. imy & squirrel btw, might just be me but how cute is Santa?! imy
Alan-G Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Heres my pictures of the Central area santa cruise [] Wrong Falkirking Co-op Car Park [] Paul gave me the Post code and I asked in at the Co-op what the post code was and she said FK2 8EE. I thought that maybe a typo by the lassie in the Co-op 'cos Paul gave me it as FK2 8EB. By 10.15 came and went, I went for a ganders around the co-op to find a massive one ¼ of a mile up the road. [:$] And by the time I found it the guys were gone. Had me present in the Scoob an aw ! [:'(] Next time, Mobile phones at the ready. Alan.
gus the bus Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Very well done[Y] I'll make sure I'm available for this next year! Never mind, I can do my bit @ the Lothians one tomorrow.[] Once again I'm proud of yeez! Gus
nanaki Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Looks like all concerned had a great day. Nice to see the weather behaving as well for a change. BTW is central a Blue Scooby only club or what?
scoobaroo Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Well done, to what looked like another great day [] The kids are what matters, and they must have had a great time too !! Once again, well done guys and girls [] [Y] [] Marty.
andy Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 BTW is central a Blue Scooby only club or what? Fastest colour mate [] Did actually think that myself today as I turned up to be greeted by only blue Scoobs and all those arriving after me were the same. It did add to the "noticability" factor though - except to the knobhead in the red Audi who got pee'd off at us all trying to leave the meeting place together. It was the first time I've been to a Santa Cruise and the pleasure created amongst the kids, their families and the staff at Aberlour was incredible - I felt quite humbled by the whole thing. I was at the funeral of a friends wee boy yesterday. It was a tough day and I didn't know if I could really face this, but I am SO glad I went. It is an awesome reflection of the Club and it's members and I'm determined to make the time to get involved in fundraising next year.
Nelsdir Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Was a pleasure to be part of this yesterday. Credit to Paul and those involved in organising it. The convoy was hilarious - we managed to stop traffic on one of the roundabouts and set off at least 3 car alarms on the way up [] It was all about the kids at the end of the day and Tam did a sterling job as Santa. The staff and parents appreciated the donations and it was obvious the kids loved the whole thing. Look forward to next years !! Neil
spooks Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Paul and all, well done indeed. Everyone looks like they had a cracking day and you can see that in everyones faces, a credit to the club.
oobster Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 PaulC555 - I touch goats with some rather good news [] [Y]
