4Hero Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 center section and backbox sound like a good plan.. But will the wr sport backbox be enough to bring out the burble (but not too loud) [*-)]
st3ph3n Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 If you do in the cat pipe and unresonate the centre it will give a nice growl I imagine. Not stupidly loud.
gus the bus Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 If you do in the cat pipe and unresonate the centre it will give a nice growl I imagine. Not stupidly loud. Thats what I said too[Y]. Did with mine n did with yours[] Neil, you know it makes sense[][]
4Hero Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 does the european warranty permit the removal of cat's though [*-)] I wouldn't like to jeporadise that..
st3ph3n Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Admittedly mine is topped off with the Hayward and Scott Japslash box of considerable size. It was reasonably loud with just the backbox, so I can't really make a great judgement.

st3ph3n Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I have three words. The first starts with F, and the other two are "the warranty" I've done it on mine, and it's a 20 minute job to put the originals back on Neil, and no one will be any the wiser.

mctwistuk Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 thanks for the advice Stephen. my car is booked in for a service on friday so will find out the situation with the brakes and will then decide on what to do. I don't plan to really increase the bhp too much so standard set up may do with better pads and discs and the braided hoses. can you recommend a nice set of discs? drilled or grooved or neither?
st3ph3n Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Duncan at Hypertech told me that Brembo do a nice set of discs for the WRX. I'm weighing up my options though.
