OPINIONS ON V POWER?

Recommended Posts

my cars always ran on optimax and on monday i needed a refill and got this new vpower stuff, £30 worth.  tbh i havent noticed any performance gains but i have noticed the petrol gauge needle seems to be taking longer to drop to empty which is all good!  anyone else noticed better mpg on v power?

Funny you should say that, I took my Mum home to Kelso the other night and got there and back on less than 1/4 of a tank. My just be my imagination but I do think there's a difference. No noticable difference in performance though. I'll keep my eye on it.

Now this is somehting, It might just be me, but i dont really know if I'm actually getting any better mpg from it, or optimax when I was using that....  [:|]

I'm sure that I get better mpg from 95RON.......  [:D]

before the map my one was popping and banging like a good un but after the remap all that stopped [:D]

but after using the new stuff i can see better mpg, depending on how heavy mr right toe is [:D],  also a few slight pops but alas no bangs

the engine seems to be better all round as far as i can tell, been driving quite a few hundred miles these past few weeks in the thing for one reason or another

Im on my third tank and am quite pleased so far. Less background knock on the commander, lower lift of det peaks.

Worse fuel consumption tho?

I have only started trying more advance so cant really comment on that yet, but over all happy chappy.

Well untill they whack on the 2-4p price hike.

Willie.

But it will be nice to see the RR graph on sat.

I have to say, I thought it was just my imagination till I read this thread - looks like my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. The needle is definately taking longer to go down!

Still working my way through the first tank in the type R. I always fill the car up though, never just stick £10 or £20 in it as it's false economy anyway. Usually get 250/260 ish to a tank, think the highest I've had is just under 280. So will see how this tank goes on the v-power as opposed optimax.

not noticed any mpg difference, but have seen an extra light come on on my lambdalink, so it must be making a bit of difference over Optimax. Anyone else notice this?
