  1. As Rossco has said, The Type R is great, I have had no problems at all, just keep winding the diff up until it feels ok, I got out of a car park up hill with a good 7" of snow cover, just locked the diff in 2nd gear and just had it above stalling, just pulled out over it easy.

  7. Yes Dale it was me, I am doing contract work for them, lots of AV installation's and multi room stuff I will try be there on Monday but not sure yet. Those Ir repeater look ok, just make sure they have enough range to get where you need. as long as you have the front 2 the amp can be set to work without the center, if you can still use your 601's as the rears that would be good too.
  8. ok, thats a tight budget, There is no need to have large rear speakers but have the front 3 as much the same as you can, The Yamaha DSP-AX 761 is a good unit and thats a good price. It would be worth keeping and using the 601's as the rear speakers and then buy some B&W 685's (ex dem?) then when you get a bit more to spend then add something like the B&W LCR60 as the center. as for the remote we usually use the Philips Pronto but thats not cheap, but you can get an Ir reapeter kit and you would use the same as the magic eye but to control the amp (artcoustic Octo kit) If you need more details pm me
  9. Bose is way overpriced, with the same budget you can get much better, If you want a Dock go for the B&W Zeppelin it is very good, Bose looks good but as for sound it really isnt good (13 years in pro audio) there is much better out there for less cash

  18. Its has the making of a good mag, but i feel it needs some more product type tests, like Scooby mag (rip) was doing with Andy F. I would much rather see things like that over a Rolling Road session (with bloated results) Its a good quick read but i dont think i will re new my subscription if it stays as is.
