  1. Very interesting that he mentioned the emissions targets that all manufacturers were having to comply to, he didn't elude as to what had to be done to the engines in the way of 'de-tuning', (leaning out, softening?) to meet those requirements though. Is this perhapse the real issue that he has let out, trying to de-tune a performance designed engine to meet unrealistic emissions targets? I wonder if he regretted bringing that one up after the interview. Fair play to him sitting there talking to us about our issues though, long may that continue. I'd welcome his offer to have a data logger fitted post warranty though, I've never hit the limiter on mine, (there is no performance advantage in doing this), service record intact and the car warmed up properly and not driven like a maniac all the time, so if it goes pop I'm covered for a while at least.
  2. Terzo's were all 'Sonic Blue', the same as the P1 and 22B. It was also a colour option on European Turbo's, not in UK though.
  3. I had a look at both and would agree that the 330 is the one to have, if only for the seats. I'll be going for a 330s in the new year, and I will have waiting a front lip spoiler, fog lamps, sport grille, footwell lights, mud flaps and a monthly direct debit for the road tax! There are only silver ones left unregistered so if you are looking for another colour you'll need to look for a demonstrator or second hand one. Good luck. Can't wait.
  4. There's been no rain recently to wash away the grease and oil. Inexperienced driver come to greif all too ofter because they don't take this into account when it rains after a long dry spell.
  5. A very good friend on mine's daughter was involved in a fatal road accident last week. She hit another vehicle head on in town. The driver had to be taken to hospital but has since been released. Fortunately, she will eventually be OK but had to be cut out of the wreckage of her Racing Puma. Tragically she killed her passenger, a long time friend who was 19. Please think about this and what she will have to live with for the rest of her live. Think about this before you do excessive speed in town. I see too many 18 and 19 year olds in Saxo's Corsa's etc. doing in excess of 60 and 70 mph down my street, hunched over the wheel with no belts on. I do like to think the Impreza drivers are a lot more respectful of what can happen, but I've also seen some driven at ridiculous speeds in town. Sorry to sound so dramatic but what happened to this girl is real. If you know anyone who does speed excessively in town tell them about this and ask them to take two minutes to think about how they would be feeling right now if they killed someone. Someones son, daughter, sister or brother.
  6. Funny you should say that, I took my Mum home to Kelso the other night and got there and back on less than 1/4 of a tank. My just be my imagination but I do think there's a difference. No noticable difference in performance though. I'll keep my eye on it.
  7. Bloody yobs. It might come off with some white spirit if you're careful. Let me know how you get on.
  8. Still here. [] Difficult to post at work and by the time I get in, feed and bath the kids, get them off to be and do the dishes I'm washed out and go to bed!
  9. Well at least you won't have to take him out walks at 5.00 in the morning in the winter when it's pouring rain. RIP Fred, I'm sure he will be sadly missed.
  10. What's wrong with you all?..................... All makes perfect sense to me.
  11. Just don't give them any cause to stop you. Same as driving any car.
  12. Phone Godspeed, they do original reconditioned ones fairly cheap. Good lad Ian Godney too.
  13. Drove one 2 weeks ago. Nice car spolied by the seats and road noise in my opinion. Let me know what YOU think.
  14. God...............................................another late night watching poor mans telly then.
  15. Mmmm, interesting turn around of fortunes in the championship this year! (About time too)
  16. For ever the proudest nation in the world:- SCOTLAND O' Flower of Scotland, When will we see your like again That fought and died for Your wee bit hill and glen And stood against him, Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward To think again. 2. The hills are bare now, And autumn leaves lie thick and still O'er land that is lost now, Which those so dearly held And stood against him, Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward To think again. 3. Those days are past nowAnd in the past they must remain But we can still rise now And be the nation again. That stood against him Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward To think again.
  17. SWING LOW NOW THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]
  18. Well done! I have a 2000 model year too so if you want any info.................................
  19. Virgin are excellent. No issues and good service.
  20. Thanks. Just opened it at work and my boss got a call from our IT Audit department. I now have a meeting with HR to explain myself this afternoon. Can warnings be put on these things.
  21. Na, prefer the seats on my 2000 MY Robbie. Anyway Andy Forrest has just been mucking about with my ECU again, so it's not as fast as my classic either! You wouldn't believe the road noise though. (Oh, and I couldn't afford one either)
  22. As above. Bags of torque, good built quality, great brakes, looks superb with the new front, but 3 big disappointments for me:- 1. The road noise from the Bridgestone Potenza's is extremely intrusive to the point of being unbearable, so anyone buying one would need to allow £400 to replace those! 2. The seats are no where near as supportive as mine are, you feel you're sitting on them rather than in them, so different seats required. 3. No Scooby burble. Nice though.
