paul_honthy Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Last night there was a horrific crash near Ballantrae. The 2 people that tragically lost their lives were friends of mine. Bertie was a great lad and Stevie was a very good friend who would do anything he could to help his mates out. Some people from SS will know Stevie from the Glasgow Santa Cruiz last year as he was my ace camera man. Sadly stevie was unable to win his brave fight for life and left us early this morning. Both lads will be sorely missed and our deepest thoughts go to both Stevie and Bertie's families and loved ones. You'll remain in our hearts and memories forever. Scotty

Logging on here tonight I discover you did & one of them turns out to be Stevie whom a few of us met on the run prior to last years Santa Cruise. paul_honthy Posted August 26, 2006 Author Posted August 26, 2006 Both lads loved their motors, especially Stevie who was on a mission to build a seriously modified Renault 21 Turbo. Stevies car has seen the entire engine stripped and rebuilt to a huge spec including cams, ported polished head ,uprated turbo, lightened and balance crank ,the list goes on and on. All that was left to do to the car was to have it remapped which would have had the car sitting at well over 350bhp. Its been decided that the lads that knew him well are all going to chip in to see Stevies motor finally reach what he was aiming for. I would like to thank all for your kind wishes and will be passing them onto their families and partners which hopefully will add some comfort to an extremely hard situation to deal with. Many thanks, Scotty
