STi_Bandit Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Was sitting here, and wondered how people came to choose there forum user name, some are obvious but others are not. So how did you choose your name STi_Bandit (Have an STi and love Smokey and the Bandit Films) Martin
david_taylor Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 As a teenager my I was a bit off a chain smoker, so one of my mates used to call me tabbit(tabs)! D for Dave and born in 77= Dtabbit77 It was the first thing I used a a user name years ago and I use it for pretty much everything. Would have chose a different name to be honest, but I was a tad drunk when I joined and it was force of habbit!
Nelsdir Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Mine is very geeky but when I did my computing course at Uni whenever I needed to create a directory (or folder in modern speak) I called it Nelsdir (missed out the "i" one time from my 1st name and for some reason it stuck). I challenge anyone to come up with a sadder reason than that [] Neil

oobster Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 My ex, my mum, my gran & my sister were all struggling to think of something to get me for my xmas about 6 or 7 years ago, so I asked them to go quarter each on any 3-letter 3-number reggie plate they could get a hold of. The one they got starts OOB, and the guys @ work started called me oobster. I find most of the folk in the club tend to call me oobster than than my real name @ meets etc [:S]
frank c Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Lucky they didn't buy one starting with g.a.y lol

I come from the Kincorth area of Aberdeen and up here we call males "loons" (females are "quines"), on most message boards my username is Kincorth_Loon but for this one I just shortened it to "Kloon". Make sense ? [] Oh and Sheep, wise choice []
z1000 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Seeing as the last car was the wifes couldn't really say i was a scooby owner when i joined so this is the next best thing.
