oobster Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Seeing how we are on the subject how you get the rubbish off the mudflaps ive tried jet wash and degreaser? I use a brillo pad - seriously, i'm not joking. You just need to be careful if there is graphics attached to your mudflaps. I've also just ordered a tub of that poorboys pink wax stuff, hopefully it'll be here the morra.

wrxmania Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Good tip - the flaps put up with a bit of "scrubbage". I use the Poorboys Wheel Sealant - it is very good and the wheels onl need wiped to get the crap off them. You could realistically use a dry cloth, but a wet cloth will clean them up fine. The brake dust inside the wheels just wipes off. My wheels have done 2000 miles since they were done and I have only washed them once. Good stuff. You need to take the wheels off, get them gleaming clean, add several coats of the wax per wheel etc. That way they will be protected. Brian []
dipsy Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I use meguirs hot wheels on my alloys .Great stuff that is
STi_Bandit Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Cool will try the brillo pad andy, Just not on the graphics side, just to remove all the mud thats been kicked up onto the flaps. Lastly is all the black stuff on the arches sealer or dirt can i take that off ??? but that seem a bit tooo much cleaning for me Martin
wrxmania Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 The dry hard stuff will be sealer - the stuff that crumbles dirt! Try washing it with a soapy sponge - it will only wash off the dirt - that can't do any harm []
STi_Bandit Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 hmmm could be a good idea once ive cleaned them out to apply a fresh coat of underseal there as theres bit of blue chassis pecking through at the bottom Martin
STi_Bandit Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 And he could maybe have a look here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-SUBARU-Carpe...1QQcmdZViewItem Oh i never saw this wee comment, whats wrong with a blue car mat set off ebay [] Martin

imprezapete Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Subaru with the Impreza made its name in rallying where you don’t get to polish or clean every second something dirties the car.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> So a dirty Impreza is a nice Impreza to me, dirtier it is more I know it’s been used right. More dirt splashes = more kudos[Y] More brake dust = Mans been driving it like its meant too.[Y] So Martin, [Y] from me []

wrxmania Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Use the car, get it dirty - but clean it too! You wouldn't not clean yourself after a hard run! (Well, maybe some would [;])
