st3ph3n Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Looking for a good pair of shoes for trackdays/spirited runs. Skateboard shoes aren't cutting it anymore. Anyone got good suggestions? I need them in size extra clown though. Or 13 in real money.
bigdavie Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 always think a good running shoe is best but not cross trainers !
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I bought Puma Speed Cats off Ebay for £35 and they do a smashin' joab RRP is £70 Unless you want Sparco or OMP ones they are more than adequate and you can really feel the pedals with them. Ace for heel n' toe action [6] Cal
gus the bus Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I've got RRS ones I bought a few years back when I used to do the Hillclimb's n Sprints with the Mini and can only say they are Grrrrrrrrreeeeeat. Still have them and they give great pedal grip but a good pedal feel. They have Kevlar and nomex Fireguard material and at the time were 70 or 80 sheets. Bought them from RRS's factory along with my overalls from their Factory in Carlisle but not sure whether they exist anymore ??? Gus
RA Dunk Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 so wot are the sparco`s or pumas`s?? or puma-sparco`s []
jcscoob Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Steven maybe you could get pink ones to match the "driving gloves" you were after before[], lol !!
st3ph3n Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 Ya bunch of FANNIES! If the drift king wears gloves when he's hurling an F430 round the Touge then it's clearly acceptable practice. So get it right round yeeeees. I like the look of those speed cats. I'll stop by Schuh and get a pair of Puma 12s to see if they fit. Which they wont, so I'll have to ask them very nicely to order me in 13s, which they wont. So then it's back to trawling ebay for them. CURSE YOU COMEDY OVERSIZED FEET.
G.T. Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 ive had puma trainers before stephen and they are made a bit neat question for the polis how come you can type fannies but you cant type p u s s y
col666 Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I would go for the Pumas, ace for driving in. Can feel the pedals really easily. Or these[]
RS Grant Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Adidas Goodyears... However, I've been known to roll in socks on the 1/4 mile. lol... [H] Cheers, Grant
st3ph3n Posted May 13, 2006 Author Posted May 13, 2006 I actually drive in my socks quite a bit. I drove home last night from the golf course like that, but mainly because my feet were absolutely aching. I think I'll go and measure up some Pumas at the weekend if I can. For a nike cross trainer I'm generally needing a UK14/US15!
