It could be said though that the people who find it offensive probably don't drive Subarus (metros or the like) and are therefore not likely to be logged on here,so go for it Fatman. Its indeed less offensive than say perhaps The Daily/Sunday Sport (or so I have been told ) which can be leagally purchased in most paper shops/garages etc. Just a bit of harmless fun . I wouldnt class this as porn, it wouldnt be on here if it was.Also i am not on here at work, i am at home where i have been since sept last year after m cycle accident.Does that change people at work suing me? In practice, however, I don't think anyone could reasonably be prosecuted for looking at the SIDC Forum that just happened to have such an image on it. I am not a lawyer, but the content of the Forum is self evident and they would have to prove you were specifically looking at the site to view that image. Granted it will be stored somewhere in Windows sneaky area (eg, temporary internet files / cache, whatever), but they would have to prove abuse. With some companies, it could even be a disciplinary offence accessing any site that isn't work related, and I suppose many of us take that risk. The fact that staff sneak off for a fag for 20 minutes in work time is OK, but whatever you do , don't use the 'phone for private use and don't use the internet likewise. There's something wrong there. Sorry to be legalistic, but it is debatable whether the image is truly "pornographic", ie whether it would be liable to deprave. That would be very difficult to prove. As for someone viewing over your shoulder who got offended, well, claim breach of privacy, they shouldn't look, irrespective of what site your viewing! I know that's simplistic and unlikely to hold much weight, but I view my home E-mails at work on the understanding I receive work material on my home account. I still ask people not to look over my shoulder in case there's anything personal in my inbox that I don't want them to see. When all's said and done, it would be a pity if this divided the Forum as we all seem to get on well, but I believe this to be a "non-issue", and the poll should influence any decision ultimately. I stress "influence" since it's FMS's call as to whether he keeps it or removes it. Personally, I am not offended by it, and I think it would be a pity to take any action over something that I consider very trivial. Link to comment
