sma01 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 my insurance is due up next month, and directline have decided that although i am now older and have an extra years NCB, that they want to charge me over £100 more than last year... any suggestions on where to try?are there any places who are good with modified cars? scott
paddy247 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Privilege insurance saved me over £400 a year, but they require you have a traker fitted.
Baz81 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Punch your details into Quotezone.co.uk as they chec about 50 insurers at the same time.. I got mine through Insure and Go. Some advise that Keith Micheal is good but I sent a request for a quote and have not heard a peep![]
Nelsdir Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Give Keith Michaels a bell - discount if you're paid up member as well. Quoted 615 for the STi8 I pick up tomorrow [] Beat A-plans quote which was reasonable as well. Neil
oobster Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Another vote for Keith Michaels - Gary Mouslon is the guy to speak to. Posts on here and on SNet and Moley_WRX.
phil Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Confused . com Couldn't quote for me !!! Gary at Keith Micheals TOP LAD []
Gumball Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Try Elephant.co.uk for your INSRUANCE lol Mine is circa 700sheets
ozzy Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Bell Direct (just moved to them) A-Plan Keith Michael Elephant Admiral Some of the bigger names are pretty good, but you need a Tracker fitted. A few of my quotes went from over £600 down to £400 when I told them I had a tracker (I don't, but it was just to see the difference). Bell Direct cam out tops when I added my Mum to the policy (50yr old and works for the NHS). Premium dropped almost £200, so just over £400.
gus the bus Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Admiral for me! renewal down £60 from last year to £398 and thats with current (and future!) mods included[] Elefunt were £458. Its great being old[]
oletam Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I did an online check with www.its4me.co.uk. Got fully comp , protected bonus for £33 / month for my UK300.

drb5 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 my insurance is due up next month, and directline have decided that although i am now older and have an extra years NCB, that they want to charge me over £100 more than last year... any suggestions on where to try?are there any places who are good with modified cars? scott Why don't you just phone your insurance up and ask them to do better, before you go asking for quotes elsewhere? That's what i do and it DOES work.[]
