drb5 Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Tonight i was rather taken aback, when i realised the good old Optimax was 99.9p a litre![] Now i'm not usually that bothered, as i don't care as long as it's good, but i was totally shocked, as i never knew this was coming. Anyone else noticed prices are high?
dipsy Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 92.9 last weekend in Dundee .I hope it does not get as high as that
FastScooby Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 still 93.9p per litre in rosyth has been for a fortnight now
gus the bus Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 94-96p Whitburn and Falkirk! (well it was when I last filled up!!!) I'll check tomorrow on the next visit. Gus
Marky-San Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 It was 93.9 in Bellshill only a few days ago - unleaded today was at 88.9 and usually its about 4-5 more optimax. So garages will just try it anyway[*-)]
dougie549 Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Hi Dave Must just be you M8,they must see you coming and change the price. 2 diffrent garages today 92.9 and 93.9 one in Killie and one in glasgow Cheers Dougie
Massivez Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Hi peeps always thought www.petrolprices.com was useful in the bid to find optimax at a reasonable price....Graeme
alistair_learmonth Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Stirling prices is at 94.9p. As its not 95p, oh for that loved 0.1p sales seem happy with. The poor old petrol companies only make 20p per litre, they make nearly a loss selling it, 80% of their profits are generated by selling prior to refining. It seems its all the greedy govt fault. Another reson not to vote, damn taxes local or hidden.
the squiggle Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Would this be the Clydebank service station, always a few bob higher than everywhere else. Probably cause they know that yourself, Coulty and Andyjdm all use that outlet and can afford the extra few bob every tank full Seen 107.9 at the services at Abington on the M74................nasty robbing bar stewards!!!!!!! Grant
coulty Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Not been to an optimax establishment for a while now! But one thing i avoid is the clydebank one. The one i use is the kilsyth one or the Anniesland one that are way cheaper....it pays to go the extra mile (or five) Stuart
ANDYJDMSTI Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Must be the high quality surroundings that push the price up Dave...............am fed up queing behind numerous Fezzas, Lambos and Astons when i go there!!!! [] Never Again!!!!1
drb5 Posted February 12, 2006 Author Posted February 12, 2006 Lol at Dougie. They certainly never HEARD me coming! Doing my nut in, being this quiet![] Andy, i think it's all the owners complaining about the burnout's and 360's i've been doing round them. Personnally i don't see the problem......it may however have been the time i ran over their poodle. Not sure.[*-)] It was the station at Clydebank though, yer. That's the last time i go there. Renfrew is calling my name![H]

[] More like the extra security they have to hire because of all the shady characters that use that joint. I pass that one every day and its always 5p dearer that my local one. Don't know how they stay in business.
