st3ph3n Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Ricey, the mad scientist that he is, has done a wee design of some stickers I'm thinking about adding to the car. I'm going for that Japanese street racer look, and I thought they'd make a nice addition. Opinions please.
weeb Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 mite look good, the low ride, racing spoiler black paint job etc! whot colour stickers? silver?
st3ph3n Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Probably the same colour he has on his. A reasonably dark grey/silver so they'd not be outlandish. Before anyone makes any funny comments - yes there is components in the car for each of those stickers. Wouldn't dream of product placement of big names I'm not using.
paul_honthy Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 think it will look the part.my mate did some made photo shop thing with my car with grey graphics and the grey makes it really nice so go for it.
craig mac Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Am sorry but i am a no vote Stephen I think it looks panny and what i would expect to see on a corsa or saxo sorry m8 That is only my view. I have a few discreet ones on my car but not rows down doors BHP Developments in Gold under the indicators on the wings, a Gold Prodrive under the Impreza WRX Badge on the left side However at the end of the day it is your car, your choice, and no matter what and who says what, you will do what you and only you deceide m8 Craig
andrew_duff Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Looks fine m8 . Get them on , if you dont like them you can easilly take them back off . See below. Andy .
RS Grant Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I agree with everything that Craig Mac said.... Including the bit where he said its your car, your choice. Cheers, Grant
G.T. Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 i think it might look cool with a right dark colour not silver or white or anything garish
stuboo Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Sorry st3h3n but its a no vote for me I just think it may be to much maybe one or two fairly discreetly in the same area but not to big but as others say its your car m8
andrew_duff Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I liked my car with graphics , like it without but its your choice and as most of these guys prefer without THEN I WOULD DEFO PUT THEM ON . lol Andy
RS Grant Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I liked my Celica with Castrol Graphics all over it.... but just never been a fan of the Door Stack style of graphics. Made 1000 times worse when Novas and Corsas started to adopt the style as their own. Cheers, Grant
vicki Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Stephen, if my opinion means anything then I don't really like stickers on cars but its up to you. Your car is gorg without them
oobster Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I'm with paddy on this one stephen - nowt wrong with being individual, and as you say - the stickers all represnt products you've actually got on the car. Dark grey would be my choice on a black car.
dan_jess Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Its ur choice m8, i would go without, it used to be smart until max power and the like started giving away free stickers for the doors, then all the poo cars had 3 thousand stickers on each door with Ride yer granny Technics Colostomy Kenwood Who's Ken wood
st3ph3n Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 About even I suppose. I'm still contemplating. I know if I get them done it's easy enough to take off though.
G.T. Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 stephen could you not get 4hero to photoshop them on for you to see what it would look like
oobster Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I got two white stars & swooshes logo's for the sides of my boot spoiler last week stephen - applied one on saturday, stood back and had a look at it for a second then promptly ripped it back off again! So not every idea that you think will look good in your head actually looks good in reality.
G.T. Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 ask the oobster what the going rate is for 4heros services andys car is the most photoshoped on sidc
the squiggle Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Does make me chuckle when i see a Corsa with HKS, Apexi, etc all down the doors Did not know the Corsa was that big in the Japanese aftermarket scene to merit HKS and the like making parts for them Being unique would be sticking a set of alloys on the car that no one else has got or likely to get or sticking a turbo on the car that no one else has. what would you do next? neons the flash to the beat of the bass lambo doors flamer kit 1000000000000000w sound system electric supercharger to help low down torque can of butane in the exh to help project the flamer kit Slippery slope my friend!!!!!!!! as has been said it is your choice as its your car Grant
G.T. Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 pmsl grant best answer yet any idea where you get those neons that flash to the bass beat lambo doors hmmm im away to watch pimp my ride
st3ph3n Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 I'm highly amused grant. So amused I'm going to fish out a special video from the street fire archives that I think will go down very well with you that I'll post up soon. My car is reasonably unique at the moment. The wing is certainly a rare breed. I am looking, as we all know, at some very special and rare-ish alloys too. You don't have to worry about neons or anything else ridiculous though.
Gumball Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 i think the door decals has been overdone mate. as squirrel mentioned its now becoming the "man about town in a corsa" look. your a track warrior v's a chav pumper. decals can be big and clever if you box clever rather than going for the usual trailer park pump. ask winston, hes got class
