iain_spink Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Hi all. Just bought my first Scoob 2weeks ago and then thought it would probably be a good idea to join a club of some sort, so here I am! Always liked the looks of them but just never got round to buying one. Wish I'd done it years ago, it's superb! Currently, its sitting outside at the moment completely covered in snow(a good 4" here) as I haven't yet tried to sell my other car which has to be kept in the garage. (no point trying to sell a TVR in December!) Looking forward to some better weather and meeting some of you at the meets. Cheers. Iain

stuboo Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Welcome m8 you picked the right club to be in
iain_spink Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 Thanks for all the welcomes guys (and Vicki). Gumball: No immediate plans for the car at the moment but no doubt like almost everyone else,I will want to add some go faster goodies later. As far as I know the car is pretty much standard although the engine was rebuilt last year with some cosworth internals and other bits from Graham Goode. Overall, the car has been fastidiously maintained by its previous owners via the same Subaru specialist all its life and seems to have wanted for nothing. Came with a full Subaru service history, Cat 1 alarm, Tracker, brand new set of quality rubber, Alpine CD/Radio/speakers. Realistically, I'll have to get the TVR sold before I can think about doing anything major to it. Also, just paid the insurance today (not bad really, £517 fully comp, £350excess, protected NCB)and thats without having to transfer my NCB from my 'everyday' car.
dipsy Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 The tracker helps a lot with insurance .Nice car the 22b
scoobykev Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Hello and welcome If its sitting outside in arbroath, better hope the seagulls don't schect all over it kev
iain_spink Posted December 31, 2005 Author Posted December 31, 2005 Aye, I know, I worked at the 'fit of the toon' for many years and my some of my previous motors were often subjected to not only huge dollops of gull sht but also frequent sprays of nice salty water courtesy of the North Sea. Live in the country now and there's neither of these hazards here, but there is instead lots of mud!
jcscoob Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Welcome mate, hope to see you at some of the tayside & angus meets !!
