I had a set of Whiteline front and rear alloy droplinks fitted tonight at Hypertech, and what a difference these have made to the handling the whole car just feels far tighterface-icon-small-happy.gif

I can well recomend these to anyone that has the standard items, and as a bonus Hypertech is doing free fitting at the moment too cheers Ducanface-icon-small-happy.gif

Also have the whiteline stuff fitted.

droplinks , bushes , & anti-lift kit. ( with Prodrive geometery ).

A worthwhile investment.face-icon-small-wink.gif

<< Ye what a difference wullie, after seeing what its like with just those fitted i'm thinking of polly bushing everything nowface-icon-small-happy.gif >>

Little word of warning, polybushing everything can make the car feel very harsh and hard at low speeds, great on track or when pushing it though. Maybe worth considering depending on how you use the car.

Sorry Peter , The parts were already fitted to the car when I bought it.

I can only really compare it to my last scoob which had standard suspension. ( '03 WRX ) The handling on the WRX was good ( although never pushed to the extreme limit ) but the RB5 , with the Whiteline goddies fitted just feels so much better.

As I said above, It's a worthwhile investment. IMHOface-icon-small-happy.gif

I've got front and rear drop links too. Just one problem with them

They are still in the boot as I haven't fitted them yet. AWD supplied them and would have fitted them for a total of just £105 BTW (inc droplinks in case that reads wrong)

£105 fitted is that for the standard steel one's (the figure 8 type) or the heavy alloy ones ?

I am not so sure now.

I think my car handles great as it is.

Do i really need to uprate the certain parts???

Do i need it to handle better????

I goes quick, handles great and stops brill so do i relly anymore.

Think i'll get a turbo timer instead unless someone can prove me wrong..

<< Peter, you need MORE MORE MORE !!

True fact though thay do handle real good as is. face-icon-small-happy.gif >>

Exactly .....where do you draw the line between needing and just want to buy them because everyone say thier are good.

Don't want to put a downer on people that have got /getting them.

Just my personal thoughts..

I maybe daft but i'm not stupid..face-icon-small-blush.gif

I was along getting an oil change & front disks & pads today, told me about the whiteline offer face-icon-small-smile.gif

Said maybe after the New Year, now after hearing you lot sing its praises I think its gonna have to get done! face-icon-small-happy.gif

Also......I must add, today one of my callipers was well & truly f**ked & Duncan fitted me one he had lying about for pretty much free of charge & also pointed out a small oil leak I didnt know existed - Fantastic service from Hypertech as per usual!!!!

Hi Peter,

Have spoken to several people on this and on the new age cars generally they recommend rear anti roll bar and drop links only - no caster kit, no anti lift etc as many people don't know what the car needs so just fit the lot. On a classic they recommended lots of stuff as the shell is a bit like Jelly but the new age cars are known to have a very stiff shell/chassis anyway. Get the rear drop links done, proper geo set-up and prodrive (or other) springs if you don't have them already and you'll be handling just great. Then start fitting any other bits like strut braces, front anti-roll bar, front drop links etd after you know what the bits you already have do.

An example given to me was of an Impreza with the full Whiteline kit on it - everything available (except coilovers etc). They said it was totally terrible on the Whiteline settings but great on the Prodrive ones, or the standard Subaru ones - they thought the Prodrive set-up was the best for neutral handling and all the other toe-in, toe out type combinations only if you wanted the back end to step out, massive oversteer etc or were always driving on perfect tarmac.

If you like it as is, do very little to change it.
