Gumball Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 im surprised theres still 11 !!!! whos the track demons that havent commited yet?
sheep Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Heard a rumour that bowtrees roundabout will be closed at weekends from friday 7.30 pm until 6.00 am monday starting next week and continuing for the next five weeks. This would be worth finding out about for the guys coming from glasgow. DOH i just read the thread properly and noticed its september not august.
st3ph3n Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Reconstruction work on the M876 Bowtrees roundabout, on the primary access route to the Kincardine Bridge, will take place during six weekends between 7.30pm Friday and 6am Monday, from Friday 12th August. During the works temporary traffic signals and signed diversions will be in operation. Road users wishing to access the Kincardine bridge from the west of Scotland will be diverted north on the M80 towards Stirling and then south onto the A907, a diversion of approximately 20miles. Other diversions will also be in operation. Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey. Taken from NADICS - Scotland's NAtional Driver Information and Control System That means it SHOULD end the weekend before KH. Good diversion though. I sometimes go to work that way. The lovely wide lanes round Stirling are great for passing.
sheep Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Cheers stephen, i was the guy filling up the wagon at the shell station on wednesday, its going to be a nightmare if i need fuel.
st3ph3n Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Good to put a car and a face to a name sheep. Is there not a shell in Alloa? Best to fill up on Thursday or late Friday afternoon and then sit tight for the weekend. I can't work out where the actual roadworks are taking place. Nadics would be a fantastic website if it wasn't so UTTERLY half arsed. Is it so difficult in this day and age of Google overlaying street maps onto satellite imagery for a government run website to draw a wee map of where they're putting down the cones?
Gumball Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 isnt a huge drama. this weeks crail excursion will not be effected by this attemp to justify road bugets. neither will the SIDC track day 25 Sept. however if you have got go up there from glasgow. its really 6 and two 3's. up the diversion then across, or across to edinburgh and up.
Gumball Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 BTTT goes this little thread of track excitement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anymore?
jacqui_robb Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 ...Only 10 Member places left! If there are any of these places left towards the track day, can a couple be converted to Non-Member places??? I have someone who would luv a track day, but isnt a SIDC member (and doesnt wanna be cos doesnt have a Subaru!)
johns Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 I was thinking about converting a few of the member slots to non-members in the shop anyway, since the last few slots aren't being taken up. Will try and get it done today John

Gumball Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 ive paid for this event through the SIDC shop. should i have something sent to me via post or what?
SCOOBYD00 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I've got a forum user id - do I need to setup another account? I would like to come along if there is space? Booked on the RR day @ Dastek, Hot Marques Nite & hopefully the track day too Busy Sept!
johns Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 Chris, I'll email you the info pack for the event about a week beforehand (possibly 3 days if I'm very busy at work!), along with details of warm up groups etc. Much easier for me to email everything these days to those who have booked through the club shop. Then it's just a case of turning up with your drivers licence and completed indemnity forms (also emailled) on the Sunday morning, listen to the briefing and then off out on track John
st3ph3n Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 John, most helpful one, are there rules regarding what helmets can and cannot be used? Would a standard motocross/atv helmet or one of these relatively cheap open face ones on Demon Tweeks meet the standards set out by Knockhill?
Ninja Scoob Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Will take a trip up but cant run thanks to tire profile issues bugger!
