Santa Cruise Sponsored walk

Recommended Posts

Posted

We are looking at a Sponsored walk across the Forth Road bridge, there and back (for all the unfit people like me) should be 2 miles.

So we need as many people as we can to do this and collect Santa Cruise funds by any means possible face-icon-small-wink.gif

We will make up some forms and send them out by e-mail or distribute them to the other RO's for people to collect at meets.

Provisional date of Saturday August 20th, so not too much time I know but we really need to get the ball rolling.

If you could post your interest here I would appreciate this.

Still awaiting confirmation letter from the FETA so dates and times may be subject to change.

Guys and Gals I have had it confirmed for the 20th August so all is good.

Looking good for support, so thanks for that but I know we can get far more people. I will make the forms this eve and hopefully can distribute them tomoz if I can get my printer working.

Ian I dont see any thing saying we cant bring dogs along as long as they are leashed there will be no issues.

Are you going South to North to South or vice versa ?

If S - N - S where are you parking ?

The good people at Norseman House in at Ferrymuir may be able to offer parking - I know that there are a few "scooby friendly" peeps left in at NHS24 post my departure.

If the end charity is "health service" related then they may look on the application fpr parking favourably ( depending on times etc )

I'll see if I can make it along, if not best of luck.

Otherwise Tesco may be able to help as they have a considerably bigger car park.

Spooks - PM me if you want a contact name for asking about parking at Norseman House.

Cheers

Billy, why don't you have one in Glasgow and walk the Erskine Bridge? (a few times?)

The money saved on fuel getting to EDI could go to the cause and it's nearer for the Ayrshire lot.

Thanks for everyones support so far. Contact me for sponsor forms on sgaATdsl.pipex.com ( replace AT with the obvious) and I can e-mail the word document to you.

Me and the Mrs would love to do this, but the Mrs doesn't like even driving over the bridge "coz she can see thru it" face-icon-small-blush.gif

If there's any other way we can help, we'd be glad to.
