mark_rushforth Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Great route, never been up that way before now, shame we couldn't control the weather and the rozzers! Thanks again to squrrel and all the organisers, see you all again in the not too distant future, cheers! Mark.
ScoobyAndy Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 thats us just back too. thankfully no more police to annoy us. Thanx for organising a gr8 day never hit so many good roads in one day tho ive also never seen as many mentaly un-hinged drivers in one place too. Iam away to try and regain my hearing now. hope everyone else gets home safely too. Andy
wilky Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Indeed, nice to meet all the usual faces and a few new ones as well. Grant Imy and Andy the route was fantastic thank you The standard of driving was very good even with the unhinged group, I cant really see any reason for the police to be upset, other than a show of force because a car club was out, and all the subarus together would mean they had to show face. Higgy your car was really moving along quite well compared to the last time I saw it you must be really chuffed. Chris, your graphics are really unique, and the system works doesnt it! Swiggy, glad to see you werent sea sick Pete (Fai) always nice to see you and the family. Carps, I still think you look like Ron Jeremy. Whens your son getting a haircut and joining the army? Playsatan, cheers for the booster and the lotion, I will mix it with coke later. Victor, nice tatoo Andy................................................................................Gaybar gaybar gaybar!!!!!!!! The Millenium falcon was as always, earthshattering Callum W
billyboy Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Grant great day out mate.My gold alloys are now black and i didnt get a producer at Brairgowrie cause i had my licence with me so there. The complaint was about a black Scooby overtaking on blind bends, somebody phoned in.
ScoobyAndy Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 The standard of driving was very good even with the unhinged group... hmmm well said Wilky m8 there was some seriously good driving done there by everyone!! i was quite impressed with the way peter (imprezapete) was letting me treat his car, think the poor things still trying to recover. glad the good old millenium falcon lived to tell the tale, heres to the next tale. Andy
ANDYJDMSTI Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 great day!!! good to see so many turned out. am shagged now after the unhinged group drive.............................am no longer wired to the t1ts!! Wilky - ding di di ding di did did ding ding ding
duke Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Yeah !!! thanks guys - was an awsome day.... think we got every type of weather, sun splitting pavements, monsoons, hail, 2"snow and drifts !! driving was great - better route than loch lommond last year, got lost a couple of times but regained convoy at the petrol station near ballater. The GT4, although completely standard gave a good account for itself, especially with the sh!!ty mixed tyres which made for some interesting handling.... best bit was when i was behind a red scob and infront of a blue one (both classics) on route back in stage 3 - TD Focus trying to have a go was a laugh, awkward 8ugger so he was, hes wife soon sorted him out though after he caaught some air :lol. thanks again, nyle -looking forward to the next one!
sheep Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Same as all the above, the best 50 quid every spent. The guy in the focus was a classic when his car took off and then his wife read him the riot act. Good to meet everyone. Paul.
scoobynutcase Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Damn! I miss all the fun But theres always next time The car should be ready for the next run so Ill see you all then. Dave
chrissy Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Carps, I still think you look like Ron Jeremy. Whens your son getting a haircut and joining the army? will b a while before that happens. was a brilliant day luvved evry bit of it.

toby69 Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 You guys have a good run today then? I seen at a guess about 30 scoobs between Grantown and Cromdale Around the 3 o clock time, Only car I could put a name to was Miss scooby. I was going the other way on the bike getting wet!!! God I need a scooby again Fantastic to see ( and hear ) a good turn out like that though.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 << ....and to top it all off the WPC who gave me a producer was cuuuute! >> she had skanky nails!!!!!!!
steven_macgregor Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Great day special thanks to Higgy for taking me on a tour of the highlands ,and then us 2 trying to play catch up with the group after the fuel stop in Elgin. Thanks to Grant and Imy for the route and the effort they put into it . might be worth while getting an optimax tanker to meet us the next time kids enjoyed it , telling their mum how a "nutter" in a black scooby kept overtaking everything till the next time Steve.
the squiggle Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Big thanks to all that showed up. Sorry about the massive miscalculation on the fuel front If i say so myself, damn fine roads we have in this country and thanks to me for picking them. Doriken that was me in the red scoob up against the TDCi Focus that thought it was full WRC spec and Scoobkev, sorry i left foot brake a lot, dont actually scrub any speed just makes the car feel a bit more stable. I know it must annoy the hell out of peeps following me thinking "what the hell you braking for noo" and i should have a sticker on the back explaining....sorry Good thing about the weather in the Highlands, if you dont like it wait 20 mins and it is sure to change. Good to see so many nice cars with particuler mention to eastfifetyke and that bodykit......WOW Funny bit with the fat lazy pidgeon at Tomintoul, so fat it could not fly with a Type-R ready to flatten it Highlights for me were the Br of Cally to Braemar, the Lecht road and Braemar to Cally on the return. From Glasgow to Glasgow about 450 miles, 14 hours and 60 quid of fuel. The RED DRAGON, lol, performed admirably even on unleaded Texaco cr*p in the tank Good bit of grub at Perth with Jacqui and Gee WR1, pleasure to meet you Gee and fine brief you have there, and thanks to Jacqui's brother for helping his sister get to the "ball" Cheers Tam for the roll and bacon at Dufftown, nifty wee bit of kit there. Edited for being untactful! Grant and Imy Anyone free at the end of August, got an idea.............
