fraser_drinkwater Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 That was a top drive and a thought you fought the black wrx corner well against faster mottas. Still smiling. Am on the track next time round defo.
dave_morgan Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 << ( Very nice footage but I need more power ) << Easy solution to that problem.... Nice vids Cal
wrxmania Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Like the vids - very good. A "distinctive" voice in the second video as your passenger "It's a beezer that 'yin, like!" Brian

sti-zlv Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Great vids Cal and even better driving, you could of drowned swiggi out with something while he was ripping my driving. We'll see if the other black wrx can keep up at the next track day Matt
evojkp Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Sooperb vids Cal. What camera mount you using? Hope you don't mind if I link your vids on the MLR??
john banks Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Nice vids. The WRX was taking better lines through the corners, interesting to see the results in play of this. To my relatively inexperienced eye you stayed quite wide until you got to the turn in cones, and then trimmed your line so that you didn't apex too early and run wide on the exit. As a result you got more power down by taking better lines.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Cheers for the comments guys Buy camcorder mounts here Off to process more footage Cal p.s Matt - Swiggi couldn't be drowned out without thwarting the flat four and DV - he was like a kid with his first stonar !
sti-zlv Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Your damn right Swiggi, next trackday. I've learned the error of my ways. Error1: Make sure rear tyres are at right pressure and not bald Error2: Dont slide on first lap, third corner and s$*t yourself Error3: Dont go out first, follow Cal and get some great lines. Come on now John, was my first trackday. Have only been on KH once before. Some good footage though Matt
ewan_anderson Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Great vids Cal shame I missed it . Roll on the next one, did you say you had footage of my car from last year when you were following me through the chicane? Could I possibly get a copy? just to see where I'm going wrong lol cheers Ewan
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Matt - I didn't appreciate that it was yer first track day ! In that case i reckon you did pretty damn good ! Euan - I'll have a look for ya More footage on the way in 20 mins or so Cheers Cal

GilesM Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Great videos Cal, from a good dayout, thanks for posting them on the Scottish Elises. Love the dump valve noise (I think that's the correct term, very limited turbo knowledge), and Matt's flames are fantastic. Cheers Giles (Red Elise driver in your video)
DonZ Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Excellent vids as always Cal. I'll try and get some up soon also.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 15, 2005 Author Posted March 15, 2005 Some more footage including the black classic spinning at the hairpin. 34 MB file courtesy of Gordyq LINK to the file - do not right click first - quality not the Georgie Driveby action with numerous Scoobies Cheers Cal
