st3ph3n Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Not bad Carl. I washed mine on Friday at work, but in the week before that I had visited 2 open cast coal mines and done about 400 miles of driving. I had to stand back from my car and have a think where the rear number plate actually was before I gave it a quick wipe down. I didn't want to tempt fate and get pulled on the A80 which has been swarming with the plod recently.
harvey_smith Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 A young Polis lass had me out the Chinese a couple of Saturday nights ago and took me to the back of my car, half parked on the pavement on double yellow lines at eleven o'clock at night. She pointed to my rear number plate and insisted I cleaned it. It was illegible with the mud so I opened the boot and took out a rag. When it was clean she was happy and went on to tell me it was best to show my number plate rather than get pulled by a traffic car, get a producer and a free go at blowing in the machine. She wasn't bothered about me parking half on the pavement half on yellow lines at that time of night but not all her colleagues would take that view. She then said she hoped I would enjoy my curry and left me so I could go and pick up my takeaway. Now if they all had an attitude like that they would get a good bit more cooperation.
fraser_drinkwater Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I can also say that mine was minging as cal did it for me on the way to meet up with the honda lads at stirling uni. It took me two goes to wash it!
