Joe.....
2nd_In_Command Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Pele and I are looking to do a dec meet for people not coming to the christmas meal around the 10,11,12 dec
graham_walters Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 would be up for folkestone meet, only 20 mins away!
mark_sheepwash Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I have no probs coming down there but 2 I C has confirmed my fears - the december meet will be a week early again due to the xmas pi$$ up and I am away the weekend of 10th/11th/12th in dortmund
Pele Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 As we are not sitting down to the meal until 9, perhaps we could have a mini meet in the bar first?
paul_haggerty Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 will be nice to go somewhere different
Pele Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Would be intersting to see if Numpty turns up to his own meet
tony_cousins Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 And we should have the ESC T Shirts too
Pele Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Better get on to Tiny to order some for us then....
tony_cousins Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Thats too far for you Nathan !!!!! and you would get lost
2nd_In_Command Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Joe- It would of been good it you could of come last night to talk about venues....
HOL Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 It would be nice to start looking at getting people to come with other specific venues. The list of requirements are: Understanding Landlord Large Safe Car Park (Preferably overlooked from PUB) Beer Garden for summer Warm Interior in Winter not too busy on a normal Friday Its actually quite hard to find such a place.
graham_walters Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 might have a good one for this! my mate (fellow scooby owner!) is landlord of a nice pub in st. nicholas, nr birchington, off the beaten track but close to about 10 miles of dual carriageways! thanet way to the start of m2. good car park, very nice pub and he's a top class chef! if this could be of interest to you all let me know and i'll pop over and see him << It would be nice to start looking at getting people to come with other specific venues. numptyboy Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 Have just spoken to the manager at the Brickfields pub in folkestone just off junction 14 of the M20 and he is going to ring me tommorrow to confirm it will be fine.He said they have loads of travelling bikers stop off there all the time coz of the hotel next door and they dont ask and are really noisy,so he cant see a problem Its a bit like a beefeater or a harvester....theres a bar and a eating area and also a charlie chalks play area for all the kids (ill see you in there Lee) What do you think Pele/Lee?? Joe.....
Pele Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Does 'what do you think' translate into 'please help me organise it' lol
numptyboy Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 No I dont mind doing it just dont want to barge in and takeover...(to l8 4 that ) If I get the go ahead then you set the date & ill put a map up for directions.....is that it???
