scooby222
Your totally right Craig - he was that sort of infectious personality, it only took one meeting to burn him into the memory How are you doing anyway stranger, still got the Bug? Link to comment
irish al
Very sad news. He was a good friend and will be sadly missed. Not only did he drive hard but he partied hard and we had some great times before he moved away. So many memories. RIP you nutter. Link to comment
the squiggle
Gutted to hear the news Legend of a guy that will not be forgotten in a hurry From this day forth the bridge in question will be known as the Bridge of Higgy RIP boss Link to comment
hi_jac
Very sad to hear Higgy was killed in an accident. Great character and always had a good laugh with him. The bridge of Higgy run would be a good tribute, he would have loved that as a send off. RIP Simon Link to comment
scouk
Gone over the bridge many times, since that run (wasn't on the 2007 run was just before I got hte scoob) and TBH it's difficult not to go airborne! unless you slow right down. Ok maybe not quite as high as Higgy did it Always remember this infamous pic whenever I'm down that way 1 Link to comment
4Hero
Very sad news indeed. Was always a cheery chap when I met him. RIP Simon I'd like to partake in a run as long as a scooby isn't required (kind of missing one at the moment). Link to comment

RS Grant
I'd like to partake in a run as long as a scooby isn't required (kind of missing one at the moment). Definitely not required, otherwise I'd not have suggested it on page one... since I am also Scoob-free at present. Cheers, Grant Link to comment
thefastone
Hi Guys, I've been chatting with Higgy's Fiancé Mel, She's been onto the 2 threads here, and she's been pretty overwhelmed by the stuff you've been saying about him, and the memories and photos that you've been posting. Mel is asking that you keep posting your photos and stories on here, so they can collect them and put them into a life journal, book of memories, sort of thing, so that she has something to show their child when they are a little older. I believe her daughter is going through saving stuff from here, so if you could put up whatever you have, they would really appreciate this. Mel also tells me that should we organise the run, that she might like to come up for it and meet us. Cheers, Dale. Link to comment
corsa
Guys, ive dug out some old pics from Higgys bridge :-) and posted all the pics from the run on my FB page again but for those who are not on it then heres the ones of Higgy . Link to comment
Guest
It's really good that Mel has seen how popular Higgy was and how much of a character he was. I'm sure he still is. I think we should put a placeholder in the diary for the run and there's chat of Sunday of the September weekend Maybe that works? I think we should start a list ASAP in tandem with maps and stickers. Is there anything else that can be thought of? - entry fee and donate to charity - donations and a raffle? - entry fee and we use the money to plant a tree on the route - we chip in and buy a statuette for Mel Just some ideas I have Link to comment
Guest
29th September is the Sunday of the September weekend Link to comment
RS Grant
Ahh, bollox.. can't make the 29th as on holiday for a week from 28th. If that date is locked in, then I'd still like to donate to a charity if someone sets up a PayPal or JustGiving link. Cheers, Grant Link to comment
wilky
It's a long shot but I will try to get over for a run. I also have some pictures buried somewhere And I'll try and find them and post them up. Fantastic tribute to a good guy. Link to comment
