johnmacdonald
I've read lots on the forums about Subaru dealers being rip-off merchants. WRX into Welch's today for some minor checks and attention. Must say that, in my opinion, they are the best of the best and the reason for continuing to rely on them since 1998! Link to comment
Chrisandkel
I had good experience with then too. Had the rb5 serviced there. Then bought my recent sti from them. Very very happy with the service. Link to comment
cvega
I went there today and spent some time with Paul who let me have a go in the WRX that's for sale there, and also possibly will get me a STI to try out. Professional and not pushy, was pleasantly surprised - have bad experiences with dealers so far! If I will be getting the car probably it will be from them Link to comment

psyweb
Just one quick note re: Welches. I got my current WRX SL from them and they do a great job. First couple of service stops and they recommended new discs and pads at the front. Fine. Next service stop 10k or so later, same recommendation. Fine. And then again. I pulled the chap on a couple of yrs into owning the car and pointed out "I should be getting more than 1 set of pads per disc set! Is there someone on your staff who can get the tech a second opinion? Sure enough, "Oh, yeah, everything is fine. Sorry." Might be nothing, but I thought it was a bit sus. And £10 for a "courtesy car". Not sure about that one either. But they know their stuff and I'll keep using them. PW Link to comment
