  1. It's a death spiral - people have something to post, but go to more populated forums as they're more likely to get a reply. With forums, people attract people and sadly sidc have culled off non-members limiting the number of people. Just look at some of the dates for recent posts. I know the chap, mark, who used to organise the East Anglia stuff on here wasn't a member and obviously now doesn't come on here. He now sorts stuff on ScoobyNet and pistonheads. Sad really.
  2. I think the forum has already died: SIDC: 21 users are online 3 members, 18 guests, 0 anonymous users ScoobyNet: 561 users are online 112 members, 449 guests :-(
  3. I know about the technicalities, I run an IT company. That's not why I posted it. It's a PR thing. It just looks so s&*t for people coming to the site and seeing that. The last thing this place needs is MORE barriers to entry!!!!
  4. Haven't been on in a while and was greated with this: Fully patched Windows 8 using Chrome 29.0.1547.66 m Oh dear.
  5. Sadly can't make this one :-(
  6. That's gotta be as good as dead-on-arrival! I'm sure the dealer will look after you, but keep us posted.
  7. Spotted you a couple of times near the A10/A14 junction. Swapped a light flash and wave too
  8. We're in a small village near Histon in Cambridgeshire and we both live on the High Street of said village. I'm looking for the owner of a Silver Bug Eye WRX. One of the headlight blubs is out and has been for a while. I drive the dark silver hawk eye STi; we've waved a few times. :-)
  9. Can't make 30th July - on holiday!
  10. That was a great meeting! Some really nice cars and some guys chaps too! Thanks for sorting Mark!
  11. How do you know? Is there a more accurate list somewhere?
  12. This might have cropped up before... http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ Just run my Spec-D into this site and there's still 207 of us going :-) Are you driving a rare scoob?
  13. 1) Mark - Forester S/tb 2) #68 RB5 - Blob Sti 3) Psyweb - Hawk STi Spec-D PPP 4) Dibs - Hawk STi 5) Richard - RX8 6) SAS RS - mk2 Escort - Cosworth turbo powered 7) S6 ROR - TVR Sagaris 8) TheMacDaddy - Nissian 370Z Black Edition
  14. TBH westra I haven't pushed it. But it's going in for a service in a few weeks, so I suspect they'll pick it up then. If I can get it fixed I will; happy to cut them a deal if it speeds things up too. Otherwise I'll be making a lithium grease purchase!!!
  15. Yeah, my 2006 Hwak STi is covered with one of these and I have a mate who used for work for subaru. The struts aren't covered I don't believe, but the garage might cover it for you under the Sale of Goods Act. In effect there's double cover, the Subaru Warranty and the place you got it from. If you cut the place a deal, they might help you out: "If I put in £200 for the diag of the issue and some of the parts, will you pay for the rest of the work?" Dingles in Norwich were excellent to me when I thought I needed to make a claim. Goes without saying... but if someone knows better I'm happy to stand corrected :-)

  17. Keep an eye out and help promote. Mark is always leading the charge but we could really do with more people to help build some momentum!! I'll be at the next one!
  18. Hey mate, yeah, sorry I couldn't make it. Car isn't too bad, got a thread in tech on it. She'll be sorted soon :-)
  19. Can't do tonight, or tomorrow. Motor is dead :-(
  20. I had my previous WRX blog for 4 years and that was a exhaust mid-section, power steering belt, drop links. Plus all the normal tyres, pads, discs. My current car, STI Spec-D, I've had for 10 months. Wiper blades, tyres (AVON ZZ3 x 4) and it's in at the mo for a suspected ABS Wheel Speed Sensor.
