  1. opposedforces.com will give you the part numbers for everything so you can just google them/ebay them and get them cheaply
  2. 300 bhp, the japspeed front mount will be fine....they are rated to 550bhp and if you go onto scoobynet group buy section, can be found cheaply from Ed@japspeed. As far as compatibility with turbos, at 300 bhp you will be using a standard position turbo undoubtedly so they will fit fine. I did buy a set of SFS hoses as I wasn't happy with the quality of hoses that came with the kit (and the colour) but this isn't strictly necessary as many don't.
  3. If you go onto scoobyworld, they're powerflex guide shows you everything you need. I bought all mine from there including diff carriers, gear linkage, all arms, subframe bushes etc. You will need a bench press though!
  4. Ringland failure on all the factory 2.5s are known to fail, even in standard form but are much more prone once over 300bhp. The 2.5 forged is one hell of an engine though!!
  5. First thing I did when I bought my subaru in 2011 was join up here but I didn't renew as I use scoobynet personally. Less of a club feel but such a better source I found for knowledge, parts, etc. Scoobynet has the mappers involved, the builders and the long standing modifiers that really know what they are talking about .....this is a nice forum but cannot compete unfortunately for that side of things.
  6. I'd always wanted one, watching them on tele, hearing them in the street.....just so in your face, love it! As a kid I thought they were a dream car (until dad pointed out they were actually cheaper than the BMW on the drive)..... At 19 I so nearly bought a GX sport but decided against it and held out till I could insure a turbo. Just before my 21st last year I bought my scoob, a completely standard blob wrx (with the full size rear wing). Absolutely love it and my first trip in it a 5am on my 21st was to the nurburging.....and I've never looked back! Modded significantly now and love it more than ever! What I find bizarre is my most powerful car before the scoob was a 2 litre BMW (compared to the standard wrx is nothing) and yet I'm only recently satisfied now I have 350 ponies....more than double I've ever had before lol just the impreza world I suppose of modding is the norm opposed to the minority
  7. Morning!! Just thought I'd mention that a few local scoobs from scoobynet are meeting at the Ferry Boat pub in Needingworth (just outside St Ives) on Saturday 15th December about 12:30 if anyone is interested. All welcome! Adam
  8. Sounds like your having as much fun as me mate as 5 months in I blew my bottom end along with other ancillary damage. As far as brembos and wrx wheels.....you'll need to upgrade to the sti wheels to get the greater offset. Hope this helps. Adam
  9. Slightly confused though as one pic has no bonnet scoop and then some others do?
  10. Nice looking classic mate....enjoy it!!!
  11. Keith Michaels on here are supposed to be good but the one I've been recommended recently is skyinsurance.com (or something like that).....supposed to be really good with mods etc
  12. I bought a pipercross cold air feed from the subaru dealership at peterborough. Gives you more cold air, just don't get one where the pipe is a wider diameter after the MAF as otherwise readings get messed up. They do run lean without map so best to map it in. Performance wise, not a massive gain but keeps things cool, looks cool wrapped in carbon fibre and removes the big intake across your engine bay
  13. I run the pirelli on my wrx too......good tyre!
  14. Won't be able to make it due to work but I really want to start getting involved in meets etc
  15. My 05 wrx was transformed with pro r eibach springs, arb drop links front and back, poly bushed the front arb and put a 24mm rear arb in with polybushes.....what a different machine!!!
