What mods have you planned for 2012?

What do you have planned for your scoob for 2012?

Im thinking of a few cosmetic tweeks, brakes, and planning on trying to keep her as nice and shiny as I can. Machine polish time I think. Nothing too brave or extreme so far.

What about you? :)

New speakers & possibly head-unit

Boost & Oil Pressure gauges

Gearbox Oil change

Rear anti-roll bar

Replace all roll bar bushes with polybushes

Anti-Lift kit

Give it a damn good polish since it never got one last year

See how much rust there is behind rear bumper :o

Hopefully get back onto the remapping stuff again, not been back to it for couple years.

New speakers are top of the list, new brakes - already sat in the garage waiting to be fitted along with the DiPol gearbox lock for extra security. Possibly some whiteline goodies as well, anti-lift kit, roll bars, etc..

Already got the machine polisher waiting to be used...

Upgraded suspension by the sounds of it....

Upgrade speakers

Catch tank

Anti-lift kit

Straight centre pipe (decat if I can)

Mesh lower grille

Improve cold feed to the short ram intake

Kevlar pads

Oh and a wedding

finally get round to fixing the brake vibration and depending on how much that costs.....

carbon diffuser

silicon hoses

and thatl do nicely - definitely not 1000cc injectors,z32 maf,avcr and a remap..... :whistle:

Plenty of tasty mods to be getting on with for folks, nice.

oh just remembered about the carbon scoop i have in the garage to go on.... Might be a test fit and see if i like it... Could get expensive if i do cos i'll just end up buying more of the lovely weave

competing in a charity hill climb in June which is for road going cars, thinking I will be bitten by the bug again.

Only last week I thought about suspension mods and maybe a forged upgrade and stuff for the Hatch - but now hope I'll modify my hatch into a new car via trade in

Still undecided what make or model, but it's between 3... I'm already excited! :driving:

modding a 1 just seems wrong.... spend more, then lose more lol

:iagree::thumbup: Modifying Limited Editions is just wrong in my book.. You own it because it's special.. Modifying it so it's unique to, you looses it origonal identity.. YOu can achieve the uniqueness with a standard model, why destroy a Special Edition.. :cussing:

Having completed my epic suspension upgrade (every sinlge nut, bolt, bush and component) last year. I am now waiting for a carbon fibre STI 6 spoiler for my classic to replace the GRP version which has cracked paint and rusty water dripping out of it from shitty cheap screws used inside where it fills with water.... I do find myself constantly spending money replacing things that ought not to need replacing!

The next plan is a big brake kit and then a semi clossed deck forged bottom end with a bigger turbo, braded fuel lines and 740 injectors.

P.s. ref the rust if its anything like mine you need to look right up inside the arch where the strut is mounted to the chassis. You will probably find the outer side is completely made of rust causing water to get inside the arch and run down behind the outer arch pannel cuasing more rust there.

I have a second hand intake manifold (with throttle body/iacv/pcv valve still attached) to clean up/paint and rip apart to work on a parallel fuel rail mod as well as get ready to fit a set of Carl Davey manifld spacers. Possibly to look at a port n'polish of the manifold too, time and wife permitting...

I had planned a set of BC Coilovers, exhaust and remap but looks like my only mod will be a change to a diesel car, how boring.

2012 im looking for carbon fibre grille,another air filter(just to see if i can make more noise :) )clutch and lightened flywheel,maybe some 19's so i can get the prodrive 18's refurbed,and was thinking of another remap with antilag,that should keep me happy the 4 times a year im home to actually drive it lol

Got a milltek cat back and a scorpion de cat on its way then eventually upgrade the brakes to EBC discs & pads. Girlfriend probably won't let me get anything else lol.

The Hawk is in for an oil change and MOT, new brakes to be fitted and the DiPol security lock.

Asked for a quote for Whiteline antiroll bars, anti lift kit and adjustable top mounts... could get expensive soon!
