spect Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 My thanks to ll who took part today. Without you guys turning up these events would be a non starter. Also a great round of thanks must go to our hosts and friends at Ashburton Motor Works and I hope you all feel that it would be worth putting some trade their way. Merv and his team did us proud today and I was impressed that so many of you stayed for so long. I personally enjoyed my drives in the BRZ and Cozzie but also in the 03 plate WRX that had the Super Pro upgraded bushes fitted. I can recommend them from what I felt driving them today and will be ordering some pretty soon. Darren James and the team from Subaru UK were really enthusiastic about meeting us all today and I am sure there was a good exchange of ideas and information going on. Thanks to them also for their kind donations of prizes today. Between us all today we also raised £55 for the Subaru UK/Ashburton Motor Works charity for the orphanage at Cosa in Cambodia by sale of SIDC keyrings and stickers - along with anything else donated in the bucket. Thanks everyone and I look forward to seeing some of you at our next event over the Christmas breake with a drive out planned to Weymouth

spect Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Just over 50 cars I think, lost track with all the comings and goings. There was a Mk1 Leggy, a B4 and a Brat all there too, as well as 2 22Bs and a P1 as well as the Cozzie doing the trips with the 2 BRZs.
spect Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 effing quick, driven by their test driver, bit of a Stig! I really did not think it would go round the first corner but it stuck to the road with 4 of us in it. All over power, same as mine but felt so much quicker. Stopped well too.
spect Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 It would get you into trouble, both financially and in the courts, lol
ScoobyMel Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 It would get you into trouble, both financially and in the courts, lol At least I would get caught speeding in a proper car not a Citroen
Tractor Trev Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat....roll on weymouth!! :-D
beefoss Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I'm waiting to hear of the date of this too. Santa hats at the ready!
Tractor Trev Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Have we got a date for that yet mate? For some reason ive got sat 29th dec in me diary....didnt jimmer or someone first come up with that date?
spect Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 Sounds about right but not had the confirmation from him. Need to let the Weymouth scoobies know as they want to meet us.
Tractor Trev Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 It'll be great to meet new faces again! I see jimmers started his list, i hope he checks it twice lol
jimmer Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Terry! When you have time, me,bungy,Trevor & Neil are going to meet up at the haldon grill on the 20th January for breakfast & have a jolly around torquay & painton sea front! If you want to treat that as our January meet could you start a new post for it!?? Also in febuary we are looking at tackling porlock hill again!(without holiday makers)! Starting at bernardsville nurseries or the big pull in at half moon on the A377 crediton to barnstaple road, down porlock hill (toll road)! To minehead to a greasy spoon for a few hours, then to taunton via watchet! Then M5 home! Again if you want this as a febuary meet you can do the same & put a post up! Thanks guys who turned up at weymouth!
Tractor Trev Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Thinking about it now what we should have done was to have a convoy around town! Great drive today though and i used my abs to its full potential lol Looking forward to the next drive out!
jimmer Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Trevor,Neil is terrible to have behind you aswell! With his 280 torpue! 265 bhp on his right foot,he's hard to lose, but with the prodrive brake set up he has a tendency stop quick too ha ha
