WUZ Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) Last I heard, JohnS sent out a bulk email to all of us currently signed up for the above event, informing us that if we didn't get any more entrants, they might have to cancel due to lack of numbers? Anybody heard anything else? It would be a shame to have this happen, where are all the track monkeys these days???? Has the SIDC considered opening up the trackday to other forums (those "nasty" Evo boys, for example)? Russell Edited August 27, 2011 by WUZ

badbaz Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 The track day is open to anyone who wants to buy a ticket from the SIDC shop - spread the word It's tough times for everyone in every area these days and track days are a luxury. Great fun but a luxury
scooby222 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 and that weekend a lot of the sidc track monkeys will be in germany.....
WUZ Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Aye but the real "hardcore" track-goers have already been to Germany - when the weather was good That's why were going to K/H on the 17th Russell

scouk Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Been thinking about this one.. Was considering going along to an IAM organised day next year but this is MUCH cheaper.. but.. can't make a decision on whether to go down until a couple days before Also my track record with mobile SIDC events arent exacly great with the exception of the Heelin' Fling
johns Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I'm glad to say that over the past week, we have had quite a few more bookings, so we are at about 3/4 of our break even point at the moment. Another 10 to 12 people taking part would be fantastic though, so get booking everyone John
stuarted Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 i'm hopefully going to have mine ready in time for this
murtayamartin Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 i never received email from john have booked annual leave and accomodation so hope it goes ahead! martin
johns Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Martin, I sent the email to those who have attended one of our days before, so if this is your first event I won;t have you in my email list. Expect future emails from me for next years events though It is very much looking like the event will go ahead, but we do need another 11 people to break even at the moment. John

WUZ Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 COME ON GUYS - SPREAD THE WORD! I have heard a rumour that a certain White Hawkeye from Aberdeen - that has never seen rain or snow in its life - might make an appearance
lewisscoob Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 PMSL - if its not all seized up from lack of use... An expensive day out if you have to do a detailing session after it!
