Considering Returning To Subaru Ownership

Hello lads.

I am considering returning to Subaru ownership after 2 years away. The car below, which is for sale at a Scottish main dealer, has interested me and I wondered if you happy chaps would give me your opinions, especially if anyone knows the actual car and how it was looked after by previous owner(s).

Car is for sale at £11,645. Done nearly 28K miles, got leather interior, tinted rear windows and 18" OZ anthracite alloys on it.

Not been to see it yet, I am off work till Thursday next week so I might nip down over the next few days.

So - thoughts, opinions, any comments on limitations on modifying wagons (springs? exhaust? - are they different?) appreciated.

Oh, and if I do buy it, that STI badge on the front grille will be the first mod - straight in the bin!

Cheers,

Andy

Afternoon

Seen this one at said dealership. Nice looking car , tho that colour wasn't a massive seller if I recall hearing. Really like wheels tho :)

I love the 2.5s ..esp the Wagons :) Nice light clutch , much quicker "off", better torque and feels a much lighter car than the 2.0ltrs ( imo ) ..just always grudged the £415 road fund license.

Exhausts are the same for all the New Age so the world's your oyster where thats concerned, and springs you could probably get a set of Tein Springs since the Prodrive ones are finished ( there was someone on here selling a new set tho )

Agree about the STi badge :P

I did indeed Gav, just debating the car with the wife just now. Must admit, I had forgotten about the £415pa road tax - not a huge deal breaker for me but still, it's another add into the 'no' column!

Tried calling you on Friday, about 5:20pm, but you were with a customer, and I didn't get the chance to call back. Will be in touch in the next couple of days if I plan to nip down for a look at the car though.

It's a cracking-looking car though.

I really like Hawkeyes, that one looks brilliant base for some subtle upgrades from the Oobster School of Modification. Get it purr-chased Andy!!

Greig, what was the unedited version... you can't leave it there!! :)

Well, the Mrs (who works for the RBS) had the dreaded "your job is at risk" meeting today so I am going to have to put the plans for a return to Subaru ownership back onto the back burner again for a while.

Gav - cheers for the info via PM - will be in touch again in the future if money/circumstances allow.
