Attempted Theft Of My Car

Was woken this morning by one of my neighbours who is a policeman looked out the window to see the man at the door and my car lying in the middle of the street( I'll post pics later) they have got in some how tried to start the car but failed smashed the steering cowl the ignition stole my new DVD head unit left my new Oakley shades! Must be to fashionble for the thieving scum *******s!!!

Just waiting on the police coming to check for finger prints etc but my car is in a sorry looking state battery dead also now!

this was how it was found at 5.45 this morning

and how it is now partially stripped but cat get the steering wheel boss off help anyone?

I'll bet the feckers probably known to your Policeman neighbour too, your area seems to be a hotspot recently for car and house crime Neil, my brothers down the road was broken into fairly recently. Seems to be a gang who had a "safe house" in Newbridge/Ratho amongst others.

Yeah heard a bit about that too Gus plus the local herbal farm found about ten doors up! never touched morags car or anybody else I'm this street but someones just up the road was broken into

They got in with no door damage No alarm going off brust the back seat trying to get in to the boot steering lock is fecked

a bit pissed off to say the least but at least I've still got the car!

I'm off to buy a CCTV set up tonight been meaning to get one for ages also been talking about another dog too!

sory to hear bout the car , its a low no respect type of guy that does damage to another guys machine , personaly wld hope for the police to lift them , then wait on them getin released on bail and then make them a hood ornament when they get released . either that or let your car have the revenge by driving over the feckers

Sorry to hear about this mate, heard there where thieves in the area. There have seemingly been a few Performance cars stolen in the area recently.

This is particularly worrying for me as I recently had some idiots post all my car and personal details over on Scottish Elises because I cut up one of their "in crowd" who was doing his nails at 65 in the outside lane of the motorway.

So the cars in the garage with the Wifes Focus parked in front of the door for a wee while.

Like Chris Ill speak to some "people" and see if I can find out anything.

Cheers everybody just can't be a***d with all the hassle fixing it but I'll get there and hopefully it will be like new

mikey I've heard the same just today though and a spate of house break ins too I've got the two cars in the drive and my van blocking them in!

Going to beef up the security round my gaff too could do with it I've just been careless recently I left the stereo fascia on which wouldn't have helped and not put the krook lock on either going to look at one of those security posts as well as a camera!

Not good Neil, but at least they didn't actually get it.

My next door neighbours had their Q7 stolen 2 weeks ago. Smashed the glass in the front door of the house and grabbed the keys. Stolen to order I bet.

Yeah your right mate a bit peeved but not too bad cause as you say it's still here bad enough knowing someone was in it and lurking Bout outside the house would have felt worse if they had got it started and made off in it not that they would have got far knackered clutch and no fuel at all in it!

As of this afternoon the car should fingers crossed be back on the road all parts sourced easily and at much cheapness!

thanks to all the offers of bits etc I'll keep you in mind just incase too

so if anybody is offered a jvc DVD with screen headunit give us a shout!!
