RACERX Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 i,ve just bought a 2.5 forged block with a new md321t just need to look out some bargains
C_WRX Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Whether it be more power / better handling / better brakes / new tyres from the Kames session Or the sunny weather has you wanting to sprouse up the cars appearance Or Just cause you can - what's been changing ?? Half way through the year now.....how's everyone getting on improving their cars ? Any new ideas ? Finally gave mine a few little extra ponies - no more on the car with insurance not far away. It will however be getting stripped right back and given it's summer sparkle as soon as I find a spare few days.

Richie Cross Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Did all my power gains last year so I've been trying to come up with ideas for this year!!! As per recent threads, I've just tarted up my engine bay with silicone hoses. Got my wheels refurbed in the Alfa grey Can't remember if it was this year that I put on my splitter and grille kit Put front and rear strut braces on And finally today.....I guess it's not really a mod.....but treated the car to some Kenny Brown geometry set up magic. Car felt good as soon as I drove off Oh....and like Kenny, I'm with KM and my insurance was down this year Edited June 1, 2010 by Richie Cross

Richie Cross Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 How much was Mr Brown Richie?Kenny £75 for the geometry mate. A wee bit extra than Progrip etc but balanced against the drive over there, I think it's worth it. It would be worth it anyway as the car felt great leaving his place. Nothing too aggressive. 1 1/2 (degrees is it??) all round.
kennyuk300 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks mate ,might give him a shout next time. Kenny
G.Mac Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I've race lightened mine, removed a shed load of weight by taking out the engine!!! lol Fred Flintstone would be proud! Graeme
paul555sti Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Mine hasnt turned a wheel since October last year. Its new ecu is still in a box under my bed.
bobbyc Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Finished off the GB with a nice set of K-sports on the front end that pretty much finishes the project off, new rubber lying in the garage but will keep the semi slicks on for playing just now, front splitter & front end will probably require a blow over in a year or so but no point in having it if your afraid to use it. The RA has had it's freshen up & is ready to roll only plans would be to replace the front brake with the four pots from the GB & renew the suspension with whiteline gear as required, but then it might go to a new home soon it's 50 / 50

RA Dunk Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Mine hasnt turned a wheel since October last year. Its new ecu is still in a box under my bed. Too much time sitting in the same spot can do a fair bit of damage in itself, My top mounts are fecked, radiators fecked, hoses in engine bay fecked and a few other little things none of which were fecked when the car went off the road. mind you its been 18 months lol Mods? Just happy to get it back semi roadworthy for just now But! New Inverted coilovers with adjustable top mounts, alloy radiator, Samco hoses, Fuel Lap pressure regulator and a Zerosports thermostat are currently on order. most of these bits are replacing other bits which are fecked though.
lewisscoob Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I modded my rear bumper and gave it a bit of red mica paint from dale's car... Need to sort that, remove sports cat (tonight) Refit std ECU, get wallace performace to check the fuelling is ok then punt it. Then I will be getting another scoob and starting all the fun over again!
the squiggle Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Really want mine to sound like L555BAT and now i have had a good nosey about the original i know what is required. Buy some ear defenders. Thinking of getting ALS and LC fitted to the ECU, this in conjuction with the above exhaust mod will bring down the Clyde Tunnel and proably Craigmcd's garage when he MOT's the car
