Rear Susp Issues

Welcome to the world of subaru's chocolate rear shocks!! I went through 2 sets in the space of 12 months and 7000miles. Got fed up with it and opted for a set of BC coilovers. Good thing with them is you can adjust the dampening and on the softest setting it seems actually softer than the original shocks. I got my last set off ebay for £220 for the pair brand new.

If i was you id go for coilovers, will save you money in the long run!

I serviced mine and got rid of the knock, just a case of stripping and re-greasing. My rears started knocking 2 months after I got them replaced.

Theses a thread on here I used.

What grease and where from Robert? About to do mine . . . .

I've heard a few who have done the strip and pe-pack the grease fix, and it seems to work just fine. Much cheaper than buying new shocks.

Thanks for the suggestions gents. Will give the shocks a service and see how that's goes then fallback to coilovers if they're properly goosed!
