I've been working @ a garage doing some holiday cover the last couple o weeks so had a chance to do a bit to the scoob

Holes in the boot welded up and filled, bonnet changed and sprayed matt black 2 see how it looks ?!, front grill changed to match the lights and new bonnet as well as changing pads for DS2500's and a well deserved oil change

Did most of it myself including the welding and some of the spraying (not the bonnet) and was pleasantley surprised as i've never tackled them before and managed not 2 feck it up !

Still planning a full respray later in the year so thought the black bonnet was worth a shot as its easy enough to change if i didn't like it but i think its kinda cool ;)

No offence but that looks hideous!!

None taken i realise there's many folk who can't understand a scoob without a spoiler etc but each to their own.

I personally hate all the wanna be rally cars stickered to the hilt and just wanted to try something different.

No probs subaru GFX and stupid mudflaps aint my thing either lol :P

The bonnet is just too dull and lifeless without the scoop or bonnet vents, looks like a sport, mind you if you sprayed it the same colour as your car it would be the perfect sleeper lol ;)

Like i said it was just an idea and it needs another coat as its reacted a bit with some of the stonechip putty but whatever colour its gonna stay scoopless and spoilerless as sleeper look is where i'm at.

Diffrent indeed my friend erm not keen on the bonnet, like the splitter tho looks good what sort of power is it kicking out to be a sleeper... ;)

Its a jun splitter i think, came with the car.

Andy rckons it should be around 370/380 bhp but not had it on the rollers but i believe him as its feckin quick :P:huh:

I agree - MATT BLACK all over would look magic ;) ........someone on here was talking about doing it last year but I don't know if they went through with it or not.

The boots despoilered and holes filled but still needs painted but leaving it til i do the whole car.

Thanks for all the comments, i just want to try and be a bit different and not as obvious but the clues are there if you know what to look for in the rear view mirror ! ;)

Not sure about the whole matt black idea but certainley not ruling it out as i hate polishing !!! :P

alright steve cars looking good did you sell you old bonnet? when you taking me for a blast in it need a comparison for mine since toasting a few local scoobs. ;)

Still got it and its for sale. Have to make sure its bolted on well though as its that bloody light it might take off ;)

If i can pry the keys out the missus hand i might get you out 1 night :P

Looks like i managed to get an hour session after the sidc day so i'll be taking it for a hurl then.

It looks different, and I'm not against it, different is good, its what you like at the end of the day... I like the bonnet like it is, but then I also think that the whole car would look ok too...

Only thing is, matt black is a piggin nightmare to keep... it'd be ruined in no time...
