Had a look at the links and they look a bit big, the brother

gave me a ripspeed dvd head unit, its not fitted yet, its the same size of a normal

headunit, the standard subaru is alot bigger as yous will know,

so if i take that out and put the ripspeed 1 in it will leave a 1inch or 2 gap, is there

some kind of panel that fitts the gap, im i making sence of this??

cheers

Hi John

Ok trying to follow this, is the unit a single din with a pop out screen that makes it look like a double din when turned on, if so this might do the trick, depends on how the unit mounts into the dash when the power is off.

try this

Yes its a single unit the screen flips out and up, and it folds back when pwr is off,

had a look at the link john ,this mite be a silly Question but does the unit sit in that ,or does that sit above or below the unit, its hard to tell looking at the picture.

You want the Forrester Pocket from the dealership. Costs about £10 and adds a nice week cubby hold under your radio.

Oh and here's a part number - 66128SA040

Hi John

I think if memory serves me correctly it sits below the unit, I think the guys might be onto something with the forrester idea, might be worth having a chat with your local dealer.

There are actually three pockets in silver for the newage. One has the flap which is the full length of the pocket, another has the flap which has a fixed portion of about 20mm and then the flap and there is just a black pocket with no flap.

Part numbers are:

Silver with flap 66128SA000 £11.65 plus vat

Siver with Flap full length 66128SA040

Black pocket 66128AE000 £18.27 plus vat

Prices are a couple of years ols and I could never work out why the plain pocket is dearer ;)
