Ye Stu heres hoping it doesnt sell this weekend

That looks a good clean low milage classic. Same kind of power / torque as mine - which makes for a good road car (in my opinion anyway  ) hope it's still there for you after the weekend.......

Yea, fingers crossed. It's pretty tidy and as you say low millage for the price, so I don't have high hopes, but you never know.

Cheers for the welcome guys!

Aye car was parked up for a few months, it's in the garage as we speak now though, few bits and bobs like clutch and mot needed to hoping to have it back next week, nice car you picked out there, prefer silver myself though.... :o

Hope you have it at the August run, I hope to be there myself :D

Thanks for the welcome guys.

The modding has already begun (and I don't even have a car yet) g.mac was right, it IS addictive. :/

Edit:

Just had a PM from the guy, and the car is still for sale, so going to down to see it on Wed with g.mac and all going well I'll be driving it home!

Unfortunately not, PM'd the guy on the Friday saying that Stuart would be happy to offer him the full asking price upon inspection on the Wed as he couldnt get cash before then, was told somebody was having a look on the Saturday, Got a PM on the Sunday evening saying it didnt sell and he would call one of us on the Monday. Got a call on the Monday to say car was still for sale but somebody had a look that day but was away to look at another car on the Tuesday. I called wee Stu to inform him of this and asked if he would be willing to send down a non refundable deposit of £250 to which wee Stu agreed as he realy wanted the car.

Called the guy back up with the offer of the deposit (after a chat on the cars condition) and told him we would be down on Wed and give him the full asking price. After a bit of humming and hawing he turned the offer of the deposit down because he was worried 1 he would loose the sale with the other guy and 2 didnt want us coming all the way down to look at it and if we didt take it trying to get the other guy to take it again.

If it were me, I think someone traveling near 300 miles on a bloomin motorbike (as my car is off the road, my parents were away with their car and wee Stu's parents needing thiers for work) would be pretty serious about the car, I even told him that Stuart had his heart set on the car and had already bought STI rear lights, Crystal sidelights, Crystal side repeaters and an STI 5 topmount for the car but still he wouldnt change his mind.

11 AM Tuesday morning he phoned me with the dreaded phonecall saying it was sold.

Several hours of hunting to try find another car in numbnuts price range came up a blank. Wee Stu that peed off ended up just buying a 04 plate MG ZR 1.4 to tide him over till next year where he hopes to have a higher budget, 1 yrs NCB and his IN10 off his record
