StewartyBoy Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 If I had £10K to spend i'd get a couple of asian hookers and some columbian marching powder & have the weekend of my life. Agreed. Title never said anything about cars...
gordi82 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Z4 2.5 will be like swimming in treacle.Kitcars are cheap as chips just now. Proper buyers market. Very true but lot of motors for the money
rallyfever Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Buy a "gay 5" mk2.5 and keep the change if ya ask me . Best legal fun for hooning about sideways, not that I would ever condone such an act.The TVR, lotus and westie would be a great also. I assume the porker is a no go now? The shortlist so far is (short is a bad way of describing it) Lotus Elise Porsche Boxter Honda S2000 Jaguar XKR - bit thirsty!! BMW Z4 3.0 - wife thinks they are great - I don't, so that won't be happening!!! Mazda MX5 2.0 Sport If you had the choice, what one would you go for?????? Lets go for the vote and see what you come up with, I need the car on the 21st at the latest so will need to get my skates on. Any other suggestions please feel free to make one Edited May 3, 2009 by rallyfever

paul555sti Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Gary my mate raced his first honda powered elise in the Lotus on track series. There isn't much he hasnt broken or worn out on them. He has owned both s1 and s2 version. If you want any pointers on what to look for just give me a shout and i will have a word with him.
st3ph3n Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 From the shortlist - S2K. That's a complete no brainer.
StewartyBoy Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Smart Car with a GSXR1000 engine in it. Stealthing the streets would be hilarious!!
rallyfever Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Definetly the elise The Elise keeps coming up as a suggestion, the wife's not too keen - how could I persuade her that it's the car for her????? Cheers Gary
lumsden26 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 tell her it doesn't use alot of petrol and comes in shiny colours if she anything like my mrs she'll loose interest after you mention its shiny.
jcscoob Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) how could I persuade her that it's the car for her?????Cheers Gary Take her with you to have a drive in a bikeCar with the sequential box etc, then when she drives an Elise she'll love it, simples ! Edited May 6, 2009 by Jcscoob
st3ph3n Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Take her with you to have a drive in a bikeCar with the sequential box etc, then when she drives an Elise she'll love it, simples ! Too true JC. If you really want to seal the deal make sure it's not a BEC with a reverse box or electric reverse. When you tell her she's to get out and push when you need to do a three point turn she'll soon be convinced.
