The car was bought for that purpose though

There's no way I would have let him do it to my old TypeR!

not quite an open mouth / true 3" downpipe like the guy on the phone at Revolution said.

Whats the real world differences? Is exhaust flow much better with the open neck designs

PS - those are Fee's daft fluffy loveheart PJ's. Mine are a different colour :D

90% at the moment LOL

I'm still in Angola for another week or so.

steering wheel with quick release boss (ebay special :P )

Seems to stick a fair distance out, so will have to wait and see what its like. Can easily just revert to wheel on fixed boss alone if its to close to me

Fee's wonky stickers again.... same as the Skyline!

Fee will be driving though as she has broken the skyline... seems daft me doing one round, and her missing one.

doh.....

Car broke at the SIDC morning. Suspect the bottom end but safe to say something sounds loose and horrible.

Uh oh, not good to hear, perfect chance for getting a 2.5 in there now though

any opinions on any of the above?

Will prob just go for a built short block, use my heads and get a decent baffled sump. Uprated oil pump too ;)

People seems to have been having problems with the CDB 2.5 (lack of cooling area causing HG failure, lifted heads, etc - just ask the man above)

2.1 will make a great track engine when combined with the V3 heads/cams but speak to Steve Whitson @ SW Engineering and he'll build you a 1st class 2.35 or 2.4......................... as good as the CBD 2.5 but with no issues.

A John Felstead Baffled Sump ( or the Lateral Performance version from Mark) will cure any Oil issues you may have - worth every penny.

Deffo the 2.35 with V3 heads/cams for me, the way to go...i have fitted a cosworth sump and baffle plate.. no dramas with Oil surge...SW will work his magic mate, he has done all my engine work and touch wood no issues..

Wish i had went 2.35 ohh i am shortly... ;)

Each and every builder has had issues of one or another.

Best bet would be to speak to them all and to read between the lines.

Engine Tuner 2.1 gets my vote for VFM.

TBH i didn't have any issues with my block and if i was to do it again i might actually go for a long engine from Cossie.

So as i said it really depends on your budget.

Wuz....when do we get to see the Godzuki?
