col666 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 http://www.sweeney-kincaid.com/Sales/Photo...mp;s=1#frmFocus These are all from Indy Car Sales in Rothienorman which went down the tubes recently, possibly pick up a bargain!?
RS Grant Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Ironic that the place where you would NEVER pick up a bargain.. could now be the source of a few cheeky bargains. Think the guy was an absolute tool to deal with, he sold pretty nice cars but at steeeep prices. Cheers, Grant
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Descriptions are pretty poor at the moment but what a great find Col !! I see all the Millers OB & Oil is sitting @ £80 already
euan_r Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 nice find col. herd a while back the main mechanic walked out leaving customers cars in bits. never thought this would happen though. pat could be good sometimes and off the next. cars very over priced, which i expected because cars were supposed to be high quality. i looked at a few when i wrote of my last and was not impressed, he started knocking £500 of the price before i even spoke.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Lot No 9. looks like a WRX RA ??? certainly has the non-colour codede mirrors......hard to tell anything else from the photos ! Anyone spot the Apexi PFC's in one of the cabinet cases and the 3 x set of Samco hoses ?
hammy Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 this has been disscussed many times on here and and yes the guy is an absolut tool
st3ph3n Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Mate of mine used to work with the auctioneers. Also tools from memory!
cullenmin Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 lot 14 looks interesting Sure does, type R by the looks of it and the arches look rather wide. No engine though, drop in a 2.5
thefastone Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Yeah I was thinking that, but then it looks like someone already has their eyes on it, as its got a bid of something like £1500!!!
RA Dunk Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) Lot No 9. looks like a WRX RA ??? certainly has the non-colour codede mirrors......hard to tell anything else from the photos !Anyone spot the Apexi PFC's in one of the cabinet cases and the 3 x set of Samco hoses ? fit lots that min? i can see the one with the apexi ECU`s but canny find the samco (which i need BTW) hoses i bought my UK turbo from that guy, car ran faultless the whole time i had it apart from a fooked radiator saying that i bought it with a 6 months full parts and labour warranty, five month after i bought it the radiator blew so im thinking no problem im still under warranty, took it back to him and he didnt want to know done himself no favours and im not surprised he`s gone bust with his attitude the way it was Edited October 13, 2008 by Ac!D
thefastone Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Thing is, everyone has said the same thing, about him, so really its no surprise that he's gone bust... First rule of business, the customer is always right...
paul555sti Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 fit lots that min? i can see the one with the apexi ECU`s but canny find the samco (which i need BTW) hoses : Top left hand corner of lot 53 but no mention of them in the description.
thefastone Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Are they inside the glass cabinet? if not then they may not be in the lot...? I'd go back and have another look, but my connection is waaaaaay too slow here...

Dale the apexi power fc are in the glass cabinet, the samco hoses are in the corner of a picture of aerosols but not included in the lot.
thefastone Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 gotcha, so many shelves and cabinets.... didn't remember seeing them myself, guess I wasn't looking that hard!
Rednosespeccltd Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 What about the tyres in lot 66, is there any good lookers in there, only at £20 bar atm. Mac
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 anyone bidding on anything ..........3 days to go ?!
craigdmcd Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Dale the apexi power fc are in the glass cabinet, the samco hoses are in the corner of a picture of aerosols but not included in the lot. Are they power fc's or just the commander units, I've tried blowing up the pic and still can't make it out. I also noticed that the stack of shelves with all the spares has the comment that says any engine parts belonging to the 2 unfinished projects would not be with the lot, does this mean that they will go with the unfinished cars? Don't think I can afford to put out any more speculation money at the moment though.
WUZ Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I know Marc and Duncan are going up to look at the White WRX RA Carl is looking at buying stuff as well but I don't know what............ Otherwise it looks a little quiet doesn't it. Wish I was home as I'd be raiding the piggybank right now to see if the are any spares "coffers" I could use. Russell
st3ph3n Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Craig - they're based in Hillington so not too far for you to go for a look.
big den Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Craig - they're based in Hillington so not too far for you to go for a look. Unfortunately not, the auctioneers webpage says viewings & collections from Aberdeenshire Location : Viewings and collections at: Indy Car Sales Ltd, Main Street, Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire, AB51 8UD Viewing : Please note that there will be on site viewings shorlty before the auction closes (dates to be confirmed) Hillington would have been better / more convenient for us Central Belt dudes.
