Definitely de-badge - the whole shabang.

Even de-lock if you can afford it.

Nice clean uncluttered look.

Yeah that lock just looks horrible. What work would it be to De-lock it ??

Got mine de-locked by the local bodyshop - I don't know how they actually did it but I assume they welded a plate in the back of the panel then smoothed it over with filler before painting it.

I got loads of other wee bits and pieces done at the same time so I'm unsure how much the de-lock part of the work cost.

John Joyce is the painter at my brothers workshop. he says to do your bootlid on a new car would only be roughtly £150 tops. Theres no need to blend on a new model and the sun hasnt bleached the colour yet.

Weld in blanking plate and bondo, then prime and paint.

WEll I'm gonna be totally different and say keep it as it is... I'm not a fan of the whole debadging thing.. I drive a Subaru Impreza and very proud of it! WTF! woudl you want to take the badging off it liek a chaved up nova tryign to be somethign it's not! Impreza's are better than that!

In fact I nearly managed to persuade my brother to remove the silly subary oval logo from the boot of his RB320 and put S U B A R U on it because IMHO it looks soooo much better...

It does look good with the clean look but even then i think it needs somthing there i was thinking of just leaving the STI and WRX badges and removing the S U B A R U one as i do think its a bit over powering on the boot plus its a pain in the behind to clean around :(

My car as it is just now.

Must remind myself every time I think about making a modification to my car that I would just be chaving it up.

I like to see all the badges. Guess it's because I'm used to seeing Saxo's etc that have de-badged to

hide the fact that they're actually only in a 1.1 or something!

A bit off topic but I've recently seen a couple of Mercs with an AMG badge on the back when it was soooo

blatantly NOT an AMG!!

Why????!!!

Thought about it myself but changed my mind. Keep them. :P

When I was thinking of de-badging I wanted the oval star badge to replace the letters then found out the oval badge is attached with a pin so there must be a hole in the Hawkeyes boot.

I'll give you same advice i gave Kate Moss......Get them off! :D

Quality. ;)

D'oh!

Well if nothing else this thread just shows that everyone has different ideas of how their cars should look! Which is EXACTLY how it should be! ;)

Well the company car I drive is a de badged Volvo 56 plate T5R and yes I it was delivered that way. ;)

Tayside Police have the exact same car as well as they picked it up the same time as myself...

My Scoob is an MY98 WR Sport with all the associated WR sport and Prodrive badges so i guess i prefer it that way as nobody seems to recognise the car without the badge.

I guess that makes me a car Snob in some peoples book :P

Have a look on the NASIOC site, they seem to like the 'clean' look over in the States.

Any chance of narrowing the link down a bit?? That last link took me to the home page with loads of options ;)

Too much for me at this time of night......
