braveheart Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Well done gents for all who anticipated looked a fantastic day out, amazing timmings 2.. Regards Chris..
the squiggle Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 John posted a 1/4 mile time but feck knows what happend to it on the list Awesome run by John towards the end in the handling area Met Coulty sneaking about down there and Seafar and arch helping out Team Subaru Amazing to see the extent RCMS go to when changing from different disciplines. Still burnt to a crisp though, god knows how they guys that were competing could deal with the cabin temps in the race suits
seafar99 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I'm pretty sure John and Andy Napier both had 11.01's
JohnSt Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I'm pretty sure John and Andy Napier both had 11.01's 1/4 time was 11.01 @124, charge circuit wasn't working when I left the line battery was at 11volts, so not the best conditions, went back and with a bit of bodging got the alternater charging, went back to the start line to find myself on the line when qualifing ended. They let me run but I recorded no time. So it's a bit like the fish that got away................. IT WAS WAY QUICKER
RA Dunk Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 So it's a bit like the fish that got away................. IT WAS WAY QUICKER off course it was John, we all believe you , dont we lads
wulsey Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I really enjoy this event yestarday! It was my first time at a TOTB meet, i knew i had to go after being at Scooby Shootout this year too! Was gutted when Andy F had problems in the final against RCM Gobstopper!
Andy N Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 It was a great day and had a ball, car didnt perform as well as hoped but neither did I, really really fecking HOT. I poof'd out on the top speed run and lifted off half way up the 1km then back on again nearer the end, bit unstable without the wing. sun burnt is an under statement but worth it.

seafar99 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 10 out 10 for effort Andy! Managed to catch one of your quarter mile runs from behind the start line................ sounded great with the anti-lag/flames............ and your cutting sarcasism to your wife after winning the handling course.. brilliant. well done
nanaki Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 was an most excellent day with most crispy results.... i've been getting pelters all day for my face and arms. in typical scottish fashion im now half red and half pale blue. was nice seeing all the cars and was good fun hanging around team subaru pits watching them work. seeing rcms change the complete suspension / brake setup on the gobstopper to fit the drag tyres was erm.... frightening actually! some great cars and great driving. shame andy's never seemed to hit the sweet spot however i'm sure he'll sort that now (sub 10 second runs and we're saying it was average... now thats standards for you) big thanks to grant for the run down and back. hope i didn't bug you to much mate and i recon we did the pr bit rather well considering the heat. also nice to meet a load of others some who i knew some i didn't. for reference i was the idiot cooking slowly in a mcrae gathering shirt with long hair and no hat... going to go put more aftersun now on and call it a night. defiantly going next year only this time i might prep a bit better. will be nice to see if team subaru can make it the hat trick.
the squiggle Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 and your cutting sarcasism to your wife after winning the handling course.. brilliant.well done That particuler comment had me in stitches Nanaki, anytime mate as it was a good hurl down and back
