spooks
Went up this eve and even though Fee was determined it was gonna rain it stayed off. Some "interesting" driving but some great quick cars. Few pics that Ive sorted through. Seen our own Zeolite in his new *ahem* legacy type thang and looked great Link to comment

I struggled for the first few sessions as that is the first time I have driven on track with road tyres and I struggled through the slower corners with understeer. Went a bit slower at those corners and ended up going quicker overall. I think! Will wait and see the footage later... Good evening though, much fun. I think I remember seeing photos you took at Doune last year. Been a while since I have been on here as I sold the Subaru. Cheers, Ali Link to comment
The Admiral
Great pics m8 Did you get any pics of my wee EVO by any chance? It was my first time on track with it, but it was going not too badly I got very few completely clear laps, but got a best complete lap of 56.7s with a best sectorised "ideal lap" of 54.5s, so plenty left to find in the car - not too shabby for its first outing VMax 142.23mph on pit straight! I'll post up a proper vid later, but here's my fastest lap (56.71s) with datalog: Video Rog Link to comment

st3ph3n
Great pictures chaps. Loving the clios line through the chicane. Bloody hell Rog. That was quicker than a quick thing on quick day! Never realised the old girl had got her send off though. Was a pleasure to have sat behind you for a few laps in the damp a few years back. Inch perfect drifting round Mcintyres was something else. RA Dunk
Think it's just the MLR boys that are allowed to take part G. thats a bit selfish a change of venue would be fine for a change, maybe SIDC should do that with our trackdays too Link to comment
paul555sti
Think it's just the MLR boys that are allowed to take part G. I am sure other cars have competed before ie subaru and lotus. I think it will depend on the number of spaces. Link to comment
G.Mac
Marty and I took part 2 years ago, last year was cancelled I think due to lack of interest Graeme Link to comment
st3ph3n
I checked on the MLR site. It's part of the Sumo Power MLR Sprint series and is open to members only and you have to assign your car to one of 4 classes, all of which are Evos. It was on last year as my mate Paul took part. Link to comment
The Admiral
Yes - I agree - the MLR is far too comercially oriented and excludes non-EVOs from some events, which is really crap IMO... The last time, I pestered them and eventually they opened it up to non-EVOs 2 weeks before the event, but I don't know if they will do it this time or not... Several other clubs encourage cross club events including SIDC, Capri Club, RSOC etc, but the MLR organisers aren't doing this, which I think is crap... Sorry! Rog Link to comment
RA Dunk
not your fault m8 other clubs organise things/trackdays and invite the MLR or at least let its members attend cant see why the MLR only do it for them selfs though Link to comment
st3ph3n
I think most of us are petrolheads first and then scooby or evo fans second! Rog, if they do open it up stick a post up on here as Im sure there would be some takers. My mate Paul did it last year in his westie and he'd certainly be intersted again. Link to comment
