lol,he was like a big kid with a new toy,he sounds even more excited in the interviews,the start of something good we hope. yeah the absence of a bonnet scoop and no more SWRT stars and swooshes graphics on the side looks a bit odd.

yep! so far so good... Not getting too excited yet though... NEw cars/drivers are often good for the first roudn out of the box in motorsport! In saying that it was a very tough rally! and Atkinsons car didn't fail it was damaged so a good early result.

Looking forward to further good results.. 1-2 result in a event by the end of the year? WOudl be nice to see SUbaru back on form!

Its as good as a win consindering the luck Petter has had. (I put it down to the unreliable Hawkeye eh John )

New car on the hardest rally in the world and it comes in 2nd. You better be damn sure that's a cracking result. Fair enough the Fords fell off with troubles - but Petters times were decent. A minute behind after nearly 4 hours of racing. I'd take that any day of the week.

Can't way to see it in Finland Gravel Spec and belly dragging Tarmac spec in Germany.

I think Petter backed off at the end as well as he definitely wanted to finish. I agree, roll on Finland to see if the speed is there and Germany to see how it really looks in Tarmac form.

The original Impreza came second on it's first world rally (1993, 1000 Lakes) and we all know what that went on to achieve.

So second for the new Impreza on its first time out is a pretty good beginning to build on!
