st3ph3n Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Great news Peter. Will be down on Saturday to contribute to the fund. You better warm up the Satay machine.
grant@AWD Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 nice one sounds good built car . And not short of the Horse there me thinks . When is the dino day for all these new big powered cars would be nice to see the power on a rolling road plot.
colin_ross Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Was going to speak to Gerry about renting out the rollers for a few hours and getting a few power runs done. I'll see what he says and report back if anyones interested.

iainc Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Really happy for you mate, glad its all coming together after this time. Sounds like a weapon!! There's some of us scratching around with 300-odd bhp and then you boys come along with your big boostin' turbos and trick blocks and kick the ball out the park. Hat off to all you guys pushing the limits, I remember when people were aiming to smash the 350bhp barrier!! Cheers, Grant Yeah, I mind when people were talking about scoobs with 400bhp and that was "bleeding edge"... nowadays it seems almost a normal figure to have in one (well... when you look on here anyway).

When is the dino day for all these new big powered cars would be nice to see the power on a rolling road plot. They could always come up north and take a run on the rollers in Ellon and help the Santa Cruise fund... plus take the long road home via the west coast roads?
fai17 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 Some further work is being under taken and a change of wheels is in order. Here the intercooler end tanks has been cut off and new ones fabricated by Meercat. The inlets and outlets are pointing towards the engine and upwards. This is done to cut down on pipe work and aidthrottle response. Rims are Rays Gramlight in 17inch.thanks to Wilky and will be shod with track day tyres Yokohama 048r or R888 Enjoy
wilky Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Muchos lightweight rotating mass. As dear old uncle Colin Chapman would say, "Light means quick" Hope they do the job Pierre. Callum W
jcscoob Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Great Peter every little bitty counts I like the small (top secret) photos
Casper Spec D Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Intercooler looks good mate.It should certainly cut down on the pipe work was down at wullies last week but was kinda busy so didn't stay long.Any idea when you'll be back on the road or are you going for some more mods in this department?
st3ph3n Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Looking good Peter. Well done to Wilky for getting a chapmanism in too. I always like - "Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere."
thewelsho Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I always like - "Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere." Ha, very profound - yet obvious
wilky Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Heres another one. "Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy." lol. Callum W
