StewartyBoy Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Soooooooo, looking out for a fun car that was for the track AND the road. What do you guys reckon!? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/443956.htm

neill54 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 just seen the name of it on the bonnet looks good to me but come on a FOCARU? neil
st3ph3n Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Get Pedals' car that's in the for sale section. Much better.
david_taylor Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 hmmmmm, now if I had bought back my scooby I could have done that to my focus! lol
thewelsho Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Get Pedals' car that's in the for sale section. Much better. There is something perverse and wrong abut that! Also, even if I liked it, I'd never buy it at that price! You can buy a Newage Sti for that!
RA Dunk Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 There is something perverse and wrong abut that! Also, even if I liked it, I'd never buy it at that price! You can buy a Newage Sti for that! you could buy an old STi for that plus have a decent 2.5 block built along with a PPG kit for that
thewelsho Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 you could buy an old STi for that plus have a decent 2.5 block built along with a PPG kit for that Yip, then you can sell the PPG kit and the 2.5 block when the old car falls to bits around about it
RA Dunk Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) Yip, then you can sell the PPG kit and the 2.5 block when the old car falls to bits around about it you can get a jap import classic which will be in much better condition than most newages, throw the 2.5 with the ppg in there and bobs your uncle, if he`s looking for a track car he dosent want a lard arS3d newage, he wants something light and nimble Edited April 25, 2008 by Ac!D

Immaculate on the outside, bit of a letdown when the bonnet opens...
david_taylor Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 With the much better chassis it would kick all your a$$es! yeeeehaaaaa!
colin_ross Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 (edited) With the much better chassis it would kick all your a$$es! yeeeehaaaaa! Better chassis? You talking about the focus? My daily driver is a focus and for what it is (civilian car) it's excellent. But if I started chopping up the chassis to fit a boxer engine in there, and then the rest of the floor to take the drivetrain what are you left with? A botch job that neither ford or subaru would have signed off on. Oh, and don't get me started on doing a coversion like that and dropping in a standard uk motor and transmission. If he's cut corners there where else has he under spec'd it? 2 pot brakes anyone? If you think you could take on my inferior subaru with that thing I may well have to modify it with an onboard toliet as I'd surely p!ss myself laughing. Edited April 26, 2008 by Playsatan2
Hightower Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 A dagenham dustbin with a real engine, but overpriced! awaiting backlash
