Rob_D Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Thanks John for organising another excellent SIDC trackday. Haven't been on track for a while but soon got back into the swing of things, track behaviour was excellent as usual for a SIDC organised event. Could only make it for half a day but still drank a tankfull of fuel!! Excellent pictures posted by everyone, tis a change for me to be behind a wheel rather than a camera, anyway anymore pictures of the blue STi bugeye SV02 especially down seat curves or duffus as it used to be called would be appreciated. Here's a helpfull tip don't use a Canon HV20 as an in car camera cos for some wierd reason the lens shakes too much, should of brought my trusty old Sony PC100 with me, doh! Rob. st3ph3n Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Think I'm going to need to invest in an DSLR. Loving some of these pics.
col666 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Think I'm going to need to invest in an DSLR. Loving some of these pics. It will be like the paparazzi outside a london nightclub in the hairpin shed soon!! Some great pics. You'd better get snapping soon as Knockhill are going to install the catch fencing all the way up the main straight to the pit entrance.
st3ph3n Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I think my current 2.0 megapixel (that's 2.0, not 20) camera just isn't cutting it now to be honest. Plus it seems the size, and number of your lens collection is a measurement of your manhood. I'd use my N95 but ..... the battery lasts all of 14 minutes.

Its not the size of your lens its how you use it! I'd use my N95 but ..... the battery lasts all of 14 minutes. Nokia's are for calling people not taking pics!...dont do it...please:) Edited March 19, 2008 by Col 666

fai17 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 (Like to see it on track along side Higgy's, now that would be something!) Yes that will be something....you'll need both of them to be in working order first. First and foremost will be crail
thefastone Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Well your streak of bad luck with breakdowns cant last forever Peter, and I dont know, is Higgy's car looking quite relieable just now? it was looking good on Saturday anyways...
The Admiral Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 BIG thanks to John S for organising the day - had a great time & thought the driving standards were excellent Thanks for those who took pics of my wee EVO - the one below is my Fav Here's my usual epic vid lol: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...005536451668560 Car was a bit down on power (350bhp) due to head gasket leaking a bit Cheers Rog
the squiggle Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Cracking vid Mr Admiral Must get a hurl in one of these Evo thingies as thye "look" quite tidy going round the Hill That boy Greer needs his head looked at, chucking that Liner about like its a rally car, oh thats right he drives rally cars for a giggle like that
thewelsho Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Cracking vid Mr Admiral Agreed. Just a shame that streaming video radically compromises the quality of viewing. A fast car too; went past me on one occasion like I was parked by the road-side (was a warm up lap, but still). Liked the F1-style removable/retachable steering wheel and a nice save at the hairpin early on in the video. And those slick tyres - yeeehaaa!
The Admiral Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Cheers Guys Downloadable vid here: http://www.rog.me.uk/SIDC%20March%202008.wmv Right Click & Save As 140MB Rog
frank c Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Must admit, I enjoyed the video. Your car didn;t do to bad either

The Admiral Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 No worries - car should be nearer 400bhp next time Rog
