you could have sold the old one on and made a few quid off of it :(:D

I can see the advert now - 1 x Subaru engine, Lady owner, low miles. Never tracked, climbed, sprinted or dragged.

You're still not getting it, 'there is no money in that engine' as Stephen so eloquently pointed out :crying:

well done John for breaking the track record in both directions with the new car on first weekend outing :(

how badly damaged is the engine, is it rattling like beans in a can or is it repairable

EJ257 Running in was driving on to trailer from new, then off again at Kames to the start line. Complete as of end 2006 season with Huge score on Bore No. 2.

CP pistons, one of which was hand fettled with wet and Dry, to fit back in the bore after a standard rod bend and the piston touched down on the Main bearing Web.

Pauter Rods, One has had the Big End Cap let down and then the rod assembly re-honed back to the righ size. Other 3 rods lightened by 4grams to rematch the set.

Who built your old trusty engine John ?

Jac

I've always built my own engines JAC. As the new one involves considerable machining, Pennine are Building/Machining the short motor sourcing the Gucci bits from Lateral.

Looks awesome and the fact she is road legal is a brucie bonus

A Grp A backbox in ceramic would look immense hanging off the back of that bad boy, may know where to source one if you are interested.

Best of luck for the rest of season.

Here's a wee taster of my shots for the day. Not exported any to Flickr yet. Might get a chance tonight, if not they will certainly be up tomorrow about lunch time.

This was on the first run of the Afternoon. The block must have went about 30 seconds after it was taken!

Edited to replace it with a picture that wasn't HUGE!

She's pretty alright. Will she be getting a wee run up the hill this weekend then?

Erm, no. Couple of issues to sort, minor, but will preclude that unfortunately.

Gutted it won't be there !!!!
