agreed, your fozzy was the bees. Hope it is bought by an enthusiast and stays local.

Good luck with the legacy, I reckon you're the most experienced guy on here for modding all types of Subarus

Gus, sorry to hear the forrester has had to go, i was looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

However, you know i like the leggy, the GTB we have is a great car to drive, really, really comfy on a long drive plus a superb tow car. Mines towing this weekend, wait til you see what on the trailer, i will send you a picture!!

On thing, dont go shopping with the leggy, it can carry so much stuff!!! Everytime ours is a Makro i spend a fortune, if i take the STI its loads cheaper!!!

Either that or i could just leave the missus at home??

looks like project Fozzy may well be staying in the club :D:DB)

Some of you guys may remember that we moved from Airdrie to N.W. Perth about 6months ago. Well here we are settling in.

Fab-1 (the missus) has been hampered by the poor road holding performance from her front wheel drive Hyundai coupe (of the ScoobyIain detailing fame a while back) in these more than snowier conditions and wanted something more suitable for this more Northerly terrain and the hazards of bad road conditions in general.

Being more than a sheep farming community and the amount of scoobies (mostly non turbo'd but in every shape and form from Justy's to Tribeca's0 is astonishing. I reckon than 1 in 25 cars you see is a scoob from one end of the spectrum to the other.

So, bearing in mind (and me WRX requiring a service soon) checked out where AWD in Perth was and asked at a few dealers where the nearest Scooby outlet was - this was yesterday evening 18/01/08 BTW - and was pointed to the Inveralmond Ind. estate for a scooby retailer.

So in went me and Fab-1 goes in to meet the salesman for a trade in.

We got chatting about the new shape WRX ;) and the legacy, forester,Justy, tribeca and scobs in general etc which was nice as this bloke knew his stuff.

I said we were looking for a forester turbo and he had a branny sitting there with a huge price tag on it. No chance - too expensive.

Next thing, he says , I've got a forester turbo on an 05/05 coming in tomorrow - Hmmm says me and Fab-1 - price ? £**,*** The usual inflated nonsense !

We talked aboot the features etc. Model being EXT-N with all the goodies and more - low mileage with warranties and stuff and then he made an astonishing remark.

Mind - my last posting and actual viewing of the SIDC site was at the new year.

He said gus is bringing it up tomorrow .... .... *thinking that it was not possible*

I said "Gus the Bus?"

Aye said the salesman as our Jaws hit the deck !

How spooky is that.

Me good mates Forester, from nearly 90 miles away turns up for sale at a garage I never knew - in a city we have just moved to, by a salesman I have never set eyes on before !

Salesman is "Mako" on this site (Russ)

So tonight 19/01/08 Fab-1 is now the proud owner of a wickedly super impressive (Vauxhall nova with the buckfast brigade - with all their skip hats back to front brigade) killer :D

Glad to hear the Fozzy has gone to a great home B)

I AM NOW A SCOOBY OWNER!!

I can't believe it! Wanted a forester for ages and ages and ages. Never being able to source an XTen never mind one that's in budget!

It's absolutely amazing! Still can't believe Alan and I walk into the subaru garage in Perth, to find out Gus 'the' bus forester, will be on it's way the next day!

Waw! The scooby is fantastic, not driven it as yet, as we had Hollie with us and well errr...........she's a typical two year old and reeked noisy havoc today for a few hours at Perth Subaru dealership. Poor Russell! I'm sure he breathed a sigh of relief when we left the showroom, and it was once again it's usual place of scooby worship. :D

What a salesman is Russell (AKA MAKO) Fantastic. None of your greecian, 14 tan stands and pre greased hand shakes......Just a fantastic completely down to earth subaru driver that happens to have the one of the best jobs, get's to work with Subaru, and get's to drive them all day everyday!

I would completely recommend if anyone is looking to buy a scooby then Russell's your man ;)

And Gus..............

Your forester is in good hands! :D
