badbaz Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Bit in yesterdays Autosport about the Gathering. Not hidden in the national section either, right in the WRC section! Respect to the organisers This maybe need to be given annual status after the reaction you are getting!
micra_wrc Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Prodrive's marketing people have been getting the word out and issued press releases in various high profile places.... WRC website Yahoo Sport Newspress Autosport so the word is definately out there. oh and if "This maybe need to be given annual status" means doing this every year.... there's no chance in h3ll we're doing this again, we'll be knackered after this one this is a one off event

I AM kidding. You should all be knighted, or given free subarus at least!!
t3hWIT Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I picked up a few decals from Squiggle and Micra_wrc two weekends ago and installed one on my car here in the US. I was crewing at the New England Forest Rally and had the opportunity to get the decal autographed by Derek Ringer. By the way, for those of you considering the Best Western Wroxton House Hotel... we stayed there for a few days and I can honestly say that's the worst experience we've had at any hotel. The employees were downright miserable, and would look at you like you had two heads if you had to ask them any questions.

t3hWIT Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I had the chance to share it with quite a few people at the rally this weekend. I don't think any of them could afford to go, I myself can't, but I'm sure there will be a few sticker orders out of it.
the squiggle Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Nice one Shaun. Good to see Derek doing his thing
That boy Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I have just registered and plan on attending.. It will be my first event since getting my scooby. Am not going to attend the full run but will leave lanark with the convoy and join in for the first 100 or so miles. Stu
micra_wrc Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) just to say that there have been some updates on this event: Cut off dates for stickers & shirts and timings of Saturday's convoy a cracking FAQ - including info on how the logistics of getting us all into Warwick at the same time will work keen to see who will be in the "muppet lane" I'm also trying to sort out arrangements for a bite and a blether for Friday night at Lanark - a kind of pre-event shindig. to meet and greet the folk that have travelled from across the UK to join us at the start on Saturday morning and travel back down the country! I'd like to round up some of us Scottish Scoobies to pop along for a meal at Lanark, to give our visitors a nice welcome will start a seperate thread about this Edited July 25, 2008 by micra_wrc

oobster Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Please do not shout at me if the answer to my question is already within the 16 pages! I am not able to take part in the convoy but I would like to come up to Lanark on the morning of the 30th before everyone sets off down the M74. Do I need any kind of sticker to be allowed into the Market car park or do I need to 'book in' or anything?
micra_wrc Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) Andy, if you are not taking part in the convoy then no, you dont need a sticker. And there's no problem with you parking in the market, though I'd suggest parking away from the cars with stickers. My vision is that, when L555BAT starts to move, we'll fall into line, emptying each section of the car park and leave the market in one big snake. There will be a fair amount of Lanark locals turning up to have a nosy at the start (including McRae fans that don't own a Subaru) so yes, pop along if you can. Edited July 29, 2008 by micra_wrc
