scooby doom Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) Just back from Andy's, long day but worth it. 500+ miles round trip 500+ quid spent 500+ bhp - hardly... MY01 Bugeye WRX - standard cat'd downpipe but the rest S/S de-cat (incl up-pipe), Green panel filter Standard - 215 bhp ; 215 lb-ft torque Now - 265 bhp ; 269 lb-ft torque Huge difference, earlier spool up and pulls much stronger through 3000-5500rpm . Feels like I have a real Scoob now - cheers Andy Edited November 16, 2007 by Scooby Doom
scouk Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Nice!! Good results from more or less standard spec!!! (excluding a cat or two) Bucket loads more torque tooo! P.s. The extra pull from the turbo get's addictive!!! Now it'll "feel" like a proper scooby!

euan_r Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 thats a huge improvement considering what little has been done
Smiler AS Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Did your Y-Pipe fit ok the other week? Im curious because thinking about getting the same item(s) too.

It was an eBay special at a good price but was a 90-95% fit so couldn't get it sealed properly. Didn't have time to muck about and put the original back on. May have another try sometime.
cullenmin Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Cracking results there, it'll go like an STi now

That's just above WRX PPPv2 performance and although the smaller WRX turbo doesn't give out as much boost as the ones fitted on the STi it spins up quicker and gives you boost earlier.. You'll need to spend lots of ££££'s to get a faster accelerating car.. Turbo, injectors, fuel pump .. But it really goes to show just how restricted the standard cars are! Shame the STi has better suspension set-up Edited November 17, 2007 by ScoUK
